From Burnout to Breakthroughs: Agentforce Redefines Life Sciences Customer Engagement

  • Built on Salesforce’s trusted platform, Agentforce Life Sciences introduces an out-of-the-box, agent-first application to unify teams on the complex clinical-to-commercial journey and help accelerate patient access to life-enhancing therapies, at scale

  • Agentforce Life Sciences for Customer Engagement provides a consumer-grade mobile experience with enterprise-grade security, making it easier to capture the attention of busy healthcare professionals and provide essential treatment information to help improve the quality of care

Salesforce announced the availability of Agentforce Life Sciences for Customer Engagement, extending the Agentforce Life Sciences portfolio with a new agent-first solution that revolutionizes the way life sciences companies interact with healthcare professionals (HCPs). The new module aims to solve a critical industry challenge: Burnt-out physicians have 75% more information per drug to parse through than a decade ago, but barely a third of HCPs feel their needs are being met and continue to cite feeling spammed by pharmaceutical and medical device organizations. Amid rising scrutiny and pipeline pressures, Agentforce Life Sciences employs digital labor to cut through the noise, drive meaningful engagement, and help close care gaps.

Whether it’s sales, marketing, and reimbursement teams or medical sciences liaisons (MSLs) and screening investigators, the solution creates a cohesive experience across departments. Agentforce helps reimagine how drugs and devices are discovered, approved, accessed, and administered, allowing people to focus on the uniquely human aspects of healthcare.

Built natively on Salesforce’s deeply unified platform, Agentforce Life Sciences for Customer Engagement goes beyond traditional CRM and delivers a consumer-grade, conversational user experience with enterprise-grade security directly in the flow of work, so reps can make the most of their limited time with overwhelmed practitioners. And with audio-dictated notes, advocacy scoring, radio-like spotlights, and concise account summaries, on-the-go reps can unlock 24/7 access to vital information to help HCPs best treat their patients.

Mankiran Chowhan, Managing Director – Sales at Salesforce India said, “India’s life sciences sector is scaling at an incredible pace, in parallel, the engagement model with doctors needs to keep pace. With Agentforce Life Sciences, we’re fundamentally upgrading that model. We’re moving from high-volume, low-impact communication to intelligent, trusted collaboration. This allows companies to serve the immense Indian market more effectively and helps empower healthcare professionals to make faster, better-informed decisions for their patients. For doctors, it means getting the right insights to better treat their patients. And for India, it means closing the gap between medical innovation and patient access.”

Customer Perspectives
B. Murali Krishna Reddy, Director – India and Emerging Markets, Hetero said, “As one of India’s leading life sciences companies, we at Hetero believe that scale and trust are the cornerstones of our success. Agentforce Life Sciences provides the robust digital foundation we need to engage responsibly with our global customers and build enduring relationships. With Salesforce, we are embracing a future where AI enhances every interaction, enabling us to efficiently manage pipelines and orders while eliminating complexities in working across multiple products and geographies.”

Innovation in Action: An Agent-First, Enterprise-Wide Approach
Agent-First Mobile Experience: In contrast to the conventional experience of clicking through several tabs and apps to find information, Agentforce will offer an intuitive, conversational interface with voice-activated account prep, territory ratings, podcast-style recaps, and talk-to-text meeting wrap-ups accessible via both web and mobile to optimize reps’ brief face time with HCPs.

  • In just a few taps, reps can access smart summaries to get everything they need from a single pane or use natural language and speech commands to filter across objects instead of having to swipe through multiple screens and without requiring an internet signal.

  • A field rep can get a hands-free, narrated overview of previously logged interactions and recommended content with citations or follow-up actions with automated call logging and spoken-note conversion while in transit from the doctor’s office. When cancellations occur, Agentforce can quickly alert and suggest a pivot to high-potential HCPs nearby using dynamic routing and rescheduling to repurpose unexpected spare time for new business opportunities.

AI-Enabled Compliance: Hosted on Salesforce’s Hyperforce infrastructure, the solution inherits the Trust Layer and zero copy integration — which helps protect sensitive data, grounds AI in reliable information, and assists customers in meeting global privacy and healthcare regulatory mandates such as HIPAA, GxP, and GDPR. Rather than being a barrier to compliance, Agentforce serves as an enforcement tool to help avoid misinformation, maintain brand reputability, and maximize revenue.

  • With regulated content management, organizations will be able to take advantage of version control; AI-assisted Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) reviews; and secure distribution to help ensure that everything from patient websites to digital brochures are scientifically accurate, medically appropriate, and ethically sound. Integrated with Agentforce Marketing, they will be able to help generate bespoke campaigns and segments to target with resonant content.

  • Unlike current methods, which require extensive paperwork and ongoing risk maintenance, Salesforce provides an electronic, pre-validated engine with automated test evidence and “validation as a service,” reducing computer system validation timelines and the need for costly manual effort.

  • Agentforce acts as a personal assistant cataloging audit trails for tracking and traceability and capturing consent via 21 CFR Part 11-ready e-signatures to help safeguard governance across in-person, virtual, and hybrid visits. Reps can scan product barcodes from their tablet, and Agentforce can automatically apply limits based on geographic restrictions when logging deliveries and flag mentions of off-labeling to help ensure visits are properly conducted and recorded.

  • Guided by configurable guardrails, Agentforce can answer routine questions and triage therapeutic, device, or related medical info requests with seamless handoff to a human as needed. With predetermined permissions based on policies and roles, organizations can control which fields a given user can or can’t see to keep sensitive information protected.

Consumer-grade UI with Actionable Insights: Underpinned by Data 360 and MuleSoft, the easy-to-navigate interface highlights account status and recommended actions to accommodate specialties, affiliations, feedback, and preferences. Whether they’re in a hospital basement or remote clinic without Wi-Fi, personnel can quickly review engagement history, Rx trends, and relevant news right from their homepage.

  • Using curated multimedia presentations, Agentforce will help reps educate HCPs on their product with the most impactful talking points and MLR-approved research and promotional content, for MSLs and sales respectively, noting the time spent on each slide and gathering input throughout.

  • With interactive Tableau dashboards that provide visibility across all channels, leaders can quickly identify delays in CAR-T manufacturing or surgical inventory shortage and find next-best alternatives. Prompted with visualizations like a spike in rejected prior authorizations, Agentforce can help reimbursement managers to educate HCPs on copay programs or changes in insurance coverage to help boost patient adoption and adherence.

  • The new app is available exclusively on Apple’s iPad.* The power, portability, and versatility of the iPad lineup enables customers to do their best work, using the tools they know and love. Agentforce Life Sciences on iPad allows for a seamless user experience, enabling users to engage with healthcare providers in an easy-to-use mobile format.

Always-on, Personalized Service: HCPs, pharmacists, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) can get faster responses to their medical inquiries, sample requests, or training materials, synced across different channels like face-to-face, webinar, social, or email and measured for effectiveness, bridging the gap between clinical and commercial functions with on-demand service.

  • Using retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), Agentforce can quickly search thousands of medical diaries and internal documentation to respond or initiate a Slack swarm about administration techniques, contraindications, efficacy, dosage, and more.

  • With connections like athenahealth and Viz.ai, HCPs will be able to inform patients at the point of care about available assistance programs and help them enroll without having to leave the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

  • From a personalized portal, HCPs can request demonstrations, chat with an MSL, or detail adverse events to pharmacovigilance for quality control and timely reporting to the appropriate government agencies. This helps to ensure they have quick access within their workflow in the exact moment of need, reducing friction and care disparities.

A Single Source of Truth, Unifying Teams from Lab to Launch
Agentforce Life Sciences for Customer Engagement is the final piece that brings together the full lifecycle of commercial, medical, and market access teams with patient services and clinical trials. Now, critical business functions from study site selection and payer formulary negotiation to precision therapy orchestration and support programs can be streamlined and AI-powered, resulting in an estimated 30% faster collaboration.**

Complemented by a global alliance of internal and external specialized systems integrators; data providers like H1, MedPro Systems, and ZS; and implementation partners, Salesforce has a clear path for customers to upgrade from legacy vendors. By accelerating the time it takes for diagnostics, medications, and equipment to obtain clearance and get safely into the hands of healthcare institutions, organizations can encourage earlier detection, order the right interventions, and prevent disease for a healthier world.

HRKatha Rising Star Leadership Awards Honours the Next Generation of HR Leaders at its Inaugural Edition

HRKatha Rising Star Leadership Awards, designed to recognise and celebrate the exceptional talent shaping the future of HR in India, concluded the inaugural edition on 31st October 2025, honouring the emerging HR leaders from the corporate word. The event aims to spotlight individuals poised to redefine HR practices and honour those making significant contributions to their organizations and the industry as a whole. By providing a stage for these rising stars, the awards foster a culture of excellence and innovation within the HR profession.

HRKatha Rising Star Leadership Awards

The inaugural HRKatha Rising Star Leadership Awards drew 129 entries from across India’s corporate landscape over a two-month nomination period. After rigorous evaluation, 59 entries were shortlisted and honoured during the event.

The Jury Composition

The jury’s composition reflected the breadth of India’s corporate landscape. Led by Sandip Ghose (MD & CEO, Birla Corps) as Jury Chair, with Ramesh Mitragotri (Group Executive President – Human Resource, Aditya Birla Group) as Jury Co-Chair, the panel included: Ashwini Prashara (CHRO, Hydrocarbons, Reliance Industries), Rajorshi Ganguli (President & Group Head-HR, Alkem Laboratories), Ayush Gupta (Director-HR, GAIL), Praveen Purohit (CHRO, Vedanta Aluminium), Subir Verma (ED & CHRO, Power Business, RP Sanjiv Goenka Group), S Parthasarathy (iMeT, EVP, L&T Technology Services), Rupesh Tripathi (Head-People and Culture, KPMG), Saba Adil (CHRO, Edelweiss), and Pooja Manocha (CHRO, Bata India).

Over two weeks, this distinguished panel evaluated cases with surgical precision. The margins proved razor-thin—often separated by a mere 0.2 to 0.5 points. At times, the difference between finalist and winner was negligible in numerical terms.

Sandip Ghose, MD & CEO, Birla Corps, articulated the jury’s philosophy, “As a jury, we weren’t just looking for good HR practices — we were looking for creativity that redefines value creation. It wasn’t about who had the most polished process or the biggest scale, but about who dared to think differently, who connected people and performance in a way that drove measurable business impact. What stood out for us were those entries that showed HR not as a support function, but as a co-creator of strategy, innovation, and growh.”

Praveen Purohit, CHRO, Vedanta Aluminium, expanded on the evaluation criteria, “While evaluating the case studies, what truly impressed us were the initiatives that went beyond policies and processes to create real business value. We looked for stories where HR wasn’t working in isolation but driving innovation hand-in-hand with business leaders. The best entries demonstrated how people practices can fuel performance, build agility, and create an ecosystem where both talent and organisation grow together.”

Rupesh Tripathi, Head-People and Culture, KPMG, captured the jury’s sentiment, “I thoroughly enjoyed reading the entries and case studies. Some very good work. Thank you for providing these young professionals a platform to showcase their work.

Rajorshi Ganguli, President & Group Head-HR, Alkem Laboratories, said, “The experience was good. The work done by different applicants were good. It’s good to know so many innovative work being done by different people in different organisations and especially the hard work behind it.”

Beyond recognition

The event’s intimate format—deliberately boutique rather than expansive—enabled depth impossible in larger ceremonies. Panel discussions explored ideas thoroughly rather than rushing through talking points. Winners engaged in substantive conversations with jury members about implementation challenges and measurable outcomes.

Lionel Paul David, CHRO, Watertec, reflected on the significance, “I thoroughly enjoyed being part of the event and am truly grateful to HRKatha for this recognition. It’s encouraging to see platforms like these celebrating meaningful HR innovations and the people behind them.”

Sumit Rastogi, Deputy General Manager at HyFun Foods, found particular value in the intellectual exchange: “I truly enjoyed the panel discussions — they were so thought-provoking and insightful. I’m deeply grateful for the recognition and the opportunity to be part of such a wonderful celebration. The entire setup was beautiful, and the evening couldn’t have been better to honour young HR talent alongside their mentors and guides.”

Jaya Suri, CHRO at Kimbal, who spoke at the event, praised the approach, “The content was really insightful and full of learning. I also loved the idea of keeping it a boutique, small event focused on meaningful content rather than size.”

Dwarakanath noted the quality of exchange, “The quality of speakers was outstanding, and the discussions were truly in-depth and to the point. You rarely come across such closed-door events with this level of meaningful exchange — and that’s exactly what HRKatha has built. I thoroughly enjoyed being part of it and look forward to seeing more such events in the future.”

Jaikrishna B, President Group HR at Amara Raja Group, who served as both speaker and awards presenter, captured the event’s potential, “Everything about the event was wonderful — from the discussions to the overall energy. It would be exciting to see it grow even bigger next time. It truly has the potential to become one of the most anticipated events of the year.”

The inaugural HRKatha Rising Star Leadership Awards didn’t just recognise emerging talent—it validated that the future of HR leadership in India is already here, challenging convention and redefining what it means to build organisations where both people and performance thrive.

India's Retirement Index Score Rises to 48 as Early Planning Grows; 50% of Urban Indians Now Prioritize Early Retirement Savings: Axis Max Life IRIS 5.0

  • India’s retirement readiness continues to improve, with the IRIS Index score rising from 44 to 48 over four years, reflecting stronger financial, health, and emotional awareness.

  • Half of urban Indians now believe retirement planning should begin as soon as they start earning.

  • Awareness is rising faster than action: while 43% of respondents feel planning should start before 35, only 37% have achieved even a quarter of their target corpus.

  • Financial sufficiency remains low, with 63% of respondents believing their savings would last less than 10 years after retirement.

  • Women Cohort and Gig Workers show higher preparedness levels.

  • Emotional and environmental anxieties remain high: 71% fear loneliness, 72% expect financial dependence on family, and 79% worry about the impact of climate change on retired life.

  • East zone leads the country in preparedness, while North and West show strong recovery in health and financial readiness post-COVID.

Axis Max Life Insurance Limited (“Axis Max Life” / “Company”), formerly known as Max Life Insurance Company Limited, today unveiled the findings of the fifth edition of its annual India Retirement Index Study – IRIS 5.0, conducted in partnership with Kantar, a leading global marketing data and analytics company.

India’s Retirement Index Score Rises to 48 as Early Planning Gains Momentum; Half of Urban Indians believe in prioritizing early retirement savings: Axis Max Life IRIS 5.0

Now in its fifth consecutive year, the India Retirement Index Study (IRIS) continues to serve as India’s most comprehensive benchmark on retirement preparedness—assessing financial, health, and emotional readiness. The 2025 edition shows steady progress, with the Index score rising from 44 in 2022 to 48 in 2025, driven by stronger fitness habits, regular health check-ups, and higher insurance adoption. While financial confidence remains stable, awareness about the required retirement corpus continues to be low, with 7 in 10 respondents believing that ₹1 crore would be sufficient for a comfortable retirement. Health preparedness records the sharpest gain, highlighting India’s growing focus on wellness as a pillar of secure retirement.

This year’s edition sharpens focus on segments such as Return Migrants and Gig Workers, capturing the diverse emotional and financial realities shaping India’s retirement landscape. For the first time, Return Migrants have been studied separately as a cohort, offering insights into how this group balances financial confidence with renewed focus on health and well-being after relocation. With rising awareness, better product understanding, and growing health consciousness, IRIS 5.0 reflects a more retirement-ready India preparing for a secure and balanced future.

Sumit Madan, MD and CEO, Axis Max Life said, “IRIS 5.0 signals a clear shift towards smarter and more holistic retirement planning. Today’s consumers are showing greater health consciousness, higher product awareness, and sustained financial confidence. As health preparedness improves, the next frontier is building adequate retirement corpus and emotional resilience. The study also highlights a growing segment of individuals uncertain about how to begin their planning, reinforcing the need for a trusted advisory support. Diverse segments such as gig workers, women, and return migrants require tailored and inclusive solutions. The findings underline how the next phase of growth for the industry will hinge on delivering more innovative, advisory-led, and inclusive retirement solutions.”

Soumya Mohanty, MD and Chief Client Officer, South Asia, Kantar said “IRIS 5.0 highlights evolving retirement behaviors across India. The rise in product awareness and health-first behaviour is notable. The study’s richer segmental analysis provides actionable cues for policymakers, employers and financial service providers to move from awareness to measurable preparedness.”

Key findings from the India retirement index study 5.0

Retirement readiness rises across the country

  • IRIS 5.0 reflects a positive trend in retirement preparedness, with the national score rising to 48 — a 4-point increase from IRIS 2.0. Health readiness has improved to 46, up from 41 in 2022, driven by increased physical activity, more frequent preventive health checks, and a rise in health insurance ownership (now at 50%, +7%). Emotional preparedness remains the next priority, with 71% reporting loneliness concerns in certain cohorts. Emotional confidence has slightly declined, with 72% of Indians expressing concern about potential dependence on family.

Women Show Slight Edge Over Men in Retirement Readiness
Women have a slightly higher retirement preparedness score at 49, compared to 48 for men. A greater proportion of women (82%) expect to remain physically fit during retirement, versus 78% of men. However, women are 8% less likely to invest in risk-based financial instruments and report higher levels of loneliness (74%), underscoring the dual need for both emotional and financial empowerment.

Metros Lead in Retirement Preparedness, Awareness Grows Across Indian Cities

  • IRIS 5.0 indicates a clear upward trend in retirement preparedness across India’s urban centers, led by metros and Tier I cities. Metros, with an IRIS score of 50, reflect a stronger focus on wellness and financial discipline, as more residents adopt regular fitness routines and preventive check-ups (60%). Tier I cities are fast following suit, showing a 13% rise in regular physical activity and a 21% increase in participation in risk-based investments, pointing to growing comfort with diverse financial tools.

Regional Insights Highlight Varied Preparedness Across The Country

  • East India leads in overall preparedness, balanced across finance, health, and emotion.

  • North India shows highest health recovery post-COVID (+11 points in Health Index), boosted by monitoring and insurance adoption.

  • West India demonstrates strong financial momentum (+7 points in Finance Index), driven by stock (+15%) and real estate (+20%) investments.

  • South India reflects a balanced wellbeing profile, marked by a 4-point improvement in health sentiment (43) and emotional resilience (59), even as financial sentiment holds steady at 47 points.

Segment Spotlight: Diverse Cohorts Show Varying Preparedness

  • Gig Workers (IRIS index score – 47): Reflecting India’s evolving workforce, gig professionals show growing financial independence but weaker health engagement. However, 74% worry about meeting family’s basic needs, and many lack access to structured retirement or health benefits, highlighting a need for inclusive coverage.

  • Return Migrants (IRIS index score – 48): Financially confident due to earlier urban exposure, but 52% haven’t had preventive health checks in three years; thus offsetting savings optimism by health neglect.

  • Women (IRIS index score – 49): Lead in financial and health preparedness, driven by stronger health optimism (+7) and rising fitness focus, reflecting proactive planning and higher retirement confidence compared with men (IRIS 48).These cohorts highlight India’s shifting workforce and post-pandemic realities, pointing to a broader need for tailored financial and wellness solutions.

Awareness vs Preparedness Gap Persists

  • Awareness improves with the average of known financial products rising to 11.6 in 2025 (IRIS 5.0) from 8.7 in 2022 (IRIS 2.0). Friends/family (72%) and financial advisors (47%) remain key sources.

  • Preparedness gap: Only 37% have achieved ≥25% of their target corpus; many underestimate required corpus for retirement (₹1 crore remains common benchmark).

NPS & Workplace Benefits Gain Traction

  • NPS awareness at 66% (up from 59%), but ownership stable at approx. 17% due to complexity and need for guidance.

  • As per IRIS 5.0, Employee Provident Fund (EPF) continues to be the most common benefit, cited by 69% respondents. When asked about additional add-ons, they would like to receive, regular health check-ups (55%) and medical or hospitalization coverage (49%) emerged as the top preferences.

Health & Prevention Take Center Stage

  • 81% engage in regular physical activity (+5 pts since 2022).

  • Preventive check-ups remaining at 55%.

  • Health insurance ownership at 50% (+7 pts), signaling growing focus on wellness and proactive health management.

Stahl Artisan Schild

Stahl’s Artisan Schild cookware is crafted to last. It features a next-generation, nearly indestructible non-stick coating with exceptional hardness and scratch resistance. With such properties, it prevents flaking, overcoming the shortcomings of conventional non-stick cookware available anywhere in the world today. It is tested to withstand 60,000 abrasion cycles (vs. 15,000 for regular non-stick) – 4x more durable than global standards. It performs up to 15 times longer than ceramic or conventional non-stick coatings.

Its triply construction comprises an aluminium core sandwiched between layers of food-grade stainless steel and induction-compatible magnetic steel, guaranteeing fast, even heating and superior technical heat resistance. The cookware’s unique textured surface requires less oil for cooking while delivering excellent non-stick performance, promoting healthier meals. The Artisan Schild’s PEEK surface prevents peeling or flaking making it 100% toxin-free. It is THE most highly food-safe certified non-stick in India, meeting top global safety standards, including US FDA, German LFGB, and Indian ISI/BIS certifications, and free from harmful chemicals such as PFOA, BPA, and lead.

Artisan Schild also features comfortable, stay-cool handles and compatibility with all cooktops. Designed specifically for everyday Indian cooking, the range is easy to clean and dishwasher safe, making it one of the most versatile and safe non-stick cookware options. Its 5-year warranty is a testament to its expected long life, far beyond the 1 to 2 year lifespan of standard non-stick, delivering worry-free kitchen convenience. Whether it’s a rushed morning omelette or a slow-cooked bhindi masala, the cookware delivers consistent results for all types of dishes.

A renowned expert in his field, Dr. Andreas Kramer of Weilburger Coatings, Germany, said, “It is nearly an indestructible coating with superlative heat resistance according to the German food contact regulation BfR and LFGB. It is safe for all types of cooking, including frying. It can be used for both daily and professional cooking. The behaviour of this non-stick is unlike any other. Try it for yourself and see the difference.”

Speaking about the launch, Dhruv Agarwal, Director & CEO, Stahl, said, “Consumers have long expressed concerns about traditional non-stick cookware; particularly around its quality, durability, and ease of use. The Artisan Schild range addresses these challenges through the introduction of advanced PEEK technology. Paired with our trusted triply base, it sets a new benchmark for non-stick cookware in Indian kitchens. It’s built to withstand everyday cooking demands while ensuring a safer, smoother, and more reliable cooking experience.”

The range includes essential cookware formats such as frypans, kadhais, and dosa tawas, with each piece meticulously crafted to deliver reliable results day after day. With a clean aesthetic and robust engineering, Artisan Schild is built not just to last, but to become a staple in everyday cooking. The Artisan Schild range is available in retail stores, on Stahl’s D2C website, and the leading e-commerce marketplace Amazon.

Inside Rural Uttar Pradesh's Water Revival: The Art of Living's Groundbreaking Efforts

Farmers across Uttar Pradesh are reclaiming their fields, livelihoods, and dignity as The Art of Living’s river rejuvenation projects breathe life back into once-depleted landscapes. Under the guidance of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, these initiatives are reviving rivers, recharging groundwater, and turning flood-prone villages into resilient, water-secure farming communities.

Building boulder checks, slowing the rush of water to help it soak deep into the earth

A Land of Extremes

For decades, farmers in western Uttar Pradesh endured a cruel paradox – weeks of flooding during the monsoon followed by parched fields in summer. In Ladaura Narayanpur of Chamraua block, persistent waterlogging once made it impossible to harvest crops without wading through flooded fields. Yet nearby, others struggled with the opposite crisis, as wells dug to depths of 130 to 140 feet yielded only scant water.

Constructing recharge wells that guide every drop of rain back to the earth

This cycle of scarcity and excess is what The Art of Living Social Projects set out to transform. Partnering with the Uttar Pradesh government and corporate collaborators, AOL combined modern hydro-engineering with grassroots mobilisation to restore balance – reducing flooding, replenishing aquifers, and strengthening farmer resilience.

Rivers are not just bodies of water. They carry our culture, our economy, and our very life. To revive a river is to revive life itself,” says Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, whose vision has inspired the rejuvenation of over 72 rivers and tributaries, benefiting 3.4 crore people across 20,000 villages in India.

Science Meets Tradition

In Rampur district, results are already visible. Over 100 villages have witnessed tangible change, with 300 recharge shafts dug across 132 ponds, supported by 15 injection wells and a pioneering sub-surface dyke – a feat once thought impossible in alluvial plains.

Engineers used geophysical surveys to locate underground clay layers beneath the Kosi tributaries and built a barrier of perforated PVC pipes, cement, and slurry to slow sub-surface water flow – allowing groundwater to recharge instead of draining away.

Sub-surface dykes were previously considered unfeasible in this terrain, but with careful planning and local collaboration, The Art of Living Social Projects was able to build them efficiently and cost-effectively.

The impact has been profound. Wells near the dyke now hold water longer, and fields that once stayed flooded for weeks dry out within 8 to 10 days, enabling timely harvests. Irrigation costs have dropped, as pumps now need to run fewer hours for the same yield.

Bundelkhand’s Droughts and the Return of the Revati

In Bundelkhand’s rocky terrain, where floods and droughts have alternated with devastating regularity, The Art of Living Social Projects has delivered a remarkable turnaround. In partnership with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Ashirvad Pipes, and the local administration, teams constructed 238 recharge structures in Lalitpur district. According to government reports, groundwater levels have risen by 5 to 6 feet in parts of Birdha block.

The most symbolic success is the revival of the Revati river. Forgotten for decades, the Revati now flows through six gram panchayats. What began in 2022 with just two recharge shafts has expanded to 246, transforming both the hydrology and morale of the region. Local leaders have replaced water-intensive eucalyptus trees with native species like neem and jamun, enhancing soil stability and biodiversity.

Earlier, water stagnated for weeks and harvests were delayed. Now, recharge structures clear the water in days, allowing farmers to harvest rice on time.

Building Awareness and Ownership

Over 16,000 villagers have attended Jal Jagrukta Shivir (Water Awareness Camps), learning how daily choices affect long-term water security. This integration of science, sustainability, and community participation has earned recognition from the Ministry of Jal Shakti and the Ministry of Rural Development.

In Magermau, Rampur, a pond refilled by recharge shafts has eased long-standing worries about water availability for cattle, allowing farmers to plan their sowing without fear.

Water Wisdom in Action

For regions long resigned to drought and despair, these projects offer not just restored groundwater – but restored hope. The Art of Living Social Projects’ water rejuvenation initiative is emerging as a solution for water crisis in India. By combining scientific precision, community ownership, and spiritual leadership, it bridges the gap between ecological restoration and social transformation.

As rivers flow again and farmlands flourish, it reminds us that when human will works in harmony with nature, both the land and its people flourish.
