Former chairman of Tata sons Cyrus Mistry, passed away in a road accident near Mumbai at the age of 54.

Former chairman of Tata sons Cyrus Mistry got in a car crash when returning to Mumbai from Ahemdabad in his Mercedes.The accident took place around 3:15pm, the car was traveling on the bridge over the Surya river. When the car crashed on a divider.

According to the police at the time of the accident there were 4 people inside the car and two of whom died. Cyrus Mistry, former chairman of Tata sons, was one of the travelers who passed away. Dr Pandole and Darius Pundole who were injured during the accident are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in gujrat. They are now reported to be out of danger. It is believed Dr Pandole was the one driving when the accident happened on the bridge over the the Surya river in Palghar.

When the news of the death of Cyrus Mistry became known to the public the tributes from the industrial sphere, and the political sphere started coming in. A Lot of political leaders and industrialists have expressed their shock over the crash.

Prime minister Modi in a tweet said that the demise of Cyrus Mistry was ultimately shocking. He was a business leader full of promise, and someone who believed in India’s economic prowess. Maharashtra chief minister Eknath Shinde said that he was shocked when he heard that Former Chairman of Tata sons Cyrus Mistry passed away. He was not just a successful entrepreneur but he was a visionary and bright, he was seen as a young man in the industry.

Union minister Smriti Irani described Cyrus Mistry as a man with a mission and a gentle soul. She also said that Cyrus as she has always known is the embodiment of kindness. She also paid her condolences to the family and loved ones of Cyrus Mistry.

Noted journalist Vir Sanghvi said, “Rest in peace”. And life is very unpredictable and very fragile, you never know what tomorrow will bring. He also paid his condolences to his family. The news is saddening.
