It centres on the assassin Rocky, who after rising to power in the Kolar Gold Fields, must maintain his dominance over rivals and authorities while simultaneously confronting his past.Five months later, filming resumed back again, and it continued until December 2020. Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mysore, and Kolar were among the locations. K.G.F: Chapter 2 received a theatrical release in Kannada on April 14, 2022, along with dubs in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.   • RRR: The epic action drama RRR was written by V. Vijayendra Prasad and S. S. Rajamouli, and it was directed by S. S. Rajamouli in 2022. D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainment produced it. N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson, Alison Doody, and Olivia Morris are among the actors who appear in the movie. The fictional plot of the movie is centred on the flight of Hindu Kashmiris from Indian-run Kashmir in the 1990s. It portrays the evacuation and the circumstances leading up to it as a genocide, which is universally regarded as being false. According to the movie, a quiet conspiracy stifled the truth. Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, and Pallavi Joshi are the cast members of The Kashmir Files. The story centres on a Kashmiri Hindu college student who was reared by his exiled grandfather and kept in the dark about his parents’ cause of death. After the passing of his grandfather, the student, who had learned at college that the exodus was peaceful, becomes driven to uncover the facts of his family’s deaths.

    Supporters of the movie have applauded it for highlighting what they claim is an underappreciated piece of Kashmir’s history. Hate speech, including incitement to violence, against Muslims has been heard in theatres all around India. The movie, whose production cost ranged from 15 crore (US$2.0 million) to 25 crore (US$3.3 million), had earned 340.16 crore (US$45 million) globally as of 28 April 2022, making it the highest-grossing Hindi movie of the year.

  • Vikram: Lokesh Kanagaraj is the writer and director of the action thriller Vikram, which will be released in 2022 in the Indian Tamil language through Raaj Kamal Films International. Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil are the actors in the movie. Suriya makes a brief cameo appearance together with supporting actors Kalidas Jayaram, Narain, and Chemban Vinod Jose. Anirudh Ravichander composed the soundtrack and score for the movie. Girish Gangadharan handled the photography, and Philomin Raj handled the editing. The movie is the follow-up in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). The story follows a black-ops team lead by Amar as they hunt down masked vigilantes while learning about the drug gang Vetti Vagaiyara, led by Sandhanam, who wants the missing drugs delivered to his cold-blooded boss Rolex. The plot is carried over from Kaithi (2019). 

    The movie is a spiritual sequel to the same-named 1986 film, which also starred Hassan. The theme tune from the 1986 movie is also included in the movie in a remixed form. Filming for the main production took place all throughout Tamil Nadu, including Karaikudi, Chennai, Pondicherry, and Coimbatore, from July 2021 to February 2022. On 3 June 2022, Vikram was released in theatres to generally favourable reviews from critics who praised the film’s plot, action sequences, production values, and cast performances (particularly Kamal Haasan, Fahadh Faasil and Vijay Sethupathi). The movie earned 442.45 crore ($58 million), becoming the fourth-highest-grossing Tamil movie ever and the highest-grossing Tamil movie of the year.

  • Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2: Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a 2022 Indian comedy-horror film in the Hindi language that was written and directed by Anees Bazmee, produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under the banner of T-Series Films, and written by Aakash Kaushik and Farhad Samji under the banner of Cine1 Studios. The movie, which stars Tabu, Kartik Aaryan, and Kiara Advani, is a stand-alone sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2007). The story revolves around Ruhaan Randhawa (Aaryan), who must pose as a fake psychic in order to cope with Manjulika’s (Tabu) rebirth as an evil ghost hell-bent on retaliating against the Thakur family. 

    Filming wrapped up in February 2022 after principal photography started in October 2019. Filming locations included Mumbai and Manali in addition to actual houses in Jaipur and Lucknow. Sandeep Shirodkar composed the music for the movie, and Pritam and Tanishk Bagchi composed the songs. Amitabh Bhattacharya, Sameer, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Mandy Gill, and Saaveri Verma wrote the lyrics for the songs. It includes a remix single of Neeraj Shridhar’s 2007 movie’s theme song. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, originally scheduled for release on July 31, 2020, has been postponed because to the COVID-19 pandemic. On May 20, 2022, it made its global theatrical debut.
