Defense Minister announces ‘Agneepath Recruitment Scheme’, youth have a chance to join the army for short term

If you are aspiring for government jobs in Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force then this news is for you. In addition to the traditional 10-14 year recruitment under the Short Service Commission (SSC) in the three defense services, an official announcement regarding the ‘Tour of Duty’ or ‘Agneepath’ scheme, a short-term but temporary recruitment process, today, 14 June 2022 has been done to. The Central Government’s Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) took a decision on this scheme in its meeting on Tuesday and after that, it was officially announced in a joint press conference of the Defense Minister and the Chiefs of the three Services.

Today ‘Agneepath Recruitment Scheme’ has been announced and during this time it has been said that the youth have a chance to join the army for short term. Rajnath Singh said that in the last several years, many steps have been taken to strengthen the defense system. Agneepath plan is being brought to make the army the best army in the world. Agniveer will come to strengthen the security of the country. Job opportunities will increase. A good pay package has been arranged for Agniveer. Will also contribute to GDP. The country will also get people with skills.

Giving information about this scheme, Rajnath Singh said that under the Agneepath scheme, efforts are being made to make the profile of the Indian Armed Forces as youthful as that of the wider Indian population. Agneepath scheme will increase employment. The skills and experience acquired during Agniveer’s service will help them to get employment in various sectors. There will be a good pay package for Agniveers. A service fund package and a liberal ‘death and disability package’ have also been provided after 4 years of service. Not only this, women will also be included in the Navy’s Agniveer.

Earlier, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said on Monday that India needs to be fully prepared for future war and for this called for better coordination between the armed forces and the civil administration. During his address at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, Singh also referred to the ongoing war in Ukraine and emphasized that security challenges have become more complex in the wake of cyber and proxy wars. He said India believes in peace and “waging war is not part of our nature”.

Let us inform that earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was informed about the short-term recruitment ‘Agneepath’ in the Army, Navy and Air Force two weeks ago by the Chiefs of the three Services. Under this scheme to be implemented by the Department of Military Affairs, it is proposed to recruit for a period of six years at the rank of soldier in the Army, at the rank of sailor or sailor in the Navy and at the rank of airman in the Air Force. These candidates selected from the prescribed selection process will be called ‘Agniveer’ after training.
