In terms of appearance, the Apple Headset is going to look like ski goggles. It would come equipped with a bunch of cameras and sensors and an M2 chip to control them. All the sensors and cameras would allow the headset to correctly track and replicate leg movements. Meta is still trying to deal with this issue.

For security purposes, while logging in and making online payments, the headset would come with a retina scanner. The headset is likely going to have two Micro LEDs one for each eye. The resolution is going to be hyper-detailed 8k.

All the hardware is useless without good software to accompany it. The reports show that Apple is developing its own OS for VR and AR headsets. The OS is going to either be called reality OS or XROS. OS would likely come with VR versions of popular IOS apps such as Maps, Facetime, etc.

The Future with AR and VR technologies.

Both AR and VR technologies are going to have great effects on all levels of Human life and Society. Both technologies are going to have very positive effects on things like Education, medical care, and entertainment. It is also going to forever change traveling as AR technologies can be used for navigation.

AR technologies might be especially helpful when going to different countries. By using AI to translate and then AR technology to project the translated text. Traveling to other countries is going to be quite an experience. However, this is but one possible way of using AR and VR technologies.

CCI’s Antitrust Order and Google’s 162 million Dollar fine.

After Europe now in India Google is facing an anti-trust order. As Google already had to pay a fine of 4.3 billion dollars after losing its appeal in Europe. But the question is what is antitrust order and how it affects the growth of the Android ecosystem in India?

What does an Antitrust order mean in India?

An Antitrust order is a fine that is levied on a company by the CCI or Competition Commission of India. CCI has fined Google a total of 162 million dollars for anti-competitive practices on the android. What exactly is Google doing that CCI did not like?

We do not have official words, but some critics say Google lends its Android system to smartphone manufacturers which is good. But they also put restrictions on manufacturers like making it compulsory to preinstall Google’s apps.

Some other possible objections might be that the users then are not even able to delete the preinstalled google apps. And it is also important to have Google play store licensing if any other apps are to be preinstalled.

All the above are part of the Google contract with the manufacturers of various Android smartphones. According to CCI, it restricts Google’s competition for having fair competition.

What did Google say about the Antitrust Order?

Google has said that this Antitrust order is going to negatively affect the people of India who are a part of the Android ecosystem. As this order is going to affect the growth of Android as a whole in India. For Google, India is the largest market when it comes to the number of users. 97% of 600 million smartphones in India are powered by Android.

Google said in filing that it directly halts the Growth of the ecosystem of manufacturers, App developers, and users. They argued that the preinstallation of its apps allows the Android to be free for the Manufacturers, and changing that would force google to charge for its OS.

Google also pleaded to the NCLAT to put a hold on the order but it was rejected by NCLAT. NCLAT asked Google to pay 10% of the 162 million dollars fine.

How does this Antitrust Order affect Android as a whole?

India is not just Google’s biggest user base but also a very important source of data and feedback. Which is used in the development of new products for Android as a whole. The data and feedback are also important to improve the existing systems, features, and programs.

It also affects the Android Ecosystem’s new inventions like “Uninterrupted listen” as it is new and would require a lot of data collection to make it a program that can be used by millions.

This order could be bad for Indian consumers as well. Because this order might force Google to charge for its OS. Google might only have to charge for devices that are meant to be shipped to India. This might cause an increase in the price of android devices. This is especially bad for Indian consumers, most of them are in either the middle class or lower middle class.

Not the first Rodeo for Google.

This is not the first time Google has had to go through such an Order, in 2018 Google had to face a similar situation in Europe and a fine amount for a whopping 4.3 billion dollars. Similar to This antitrust order Google was accused of using the dominance of Android to thwart its competition.

Google does have a point when saying that the contract has been the same for over a decade, and Google does have the best products when it comes to android. It is also true that this halts valuable progress. This is especially bad for People in still developing countries as they need all the help they can get. And Google is certainly best at that with apps like Google Classroom, Google meets, and most important Google Search. 

However, having competition can also increase the speed of improvement, and in India over 150 developers and companies have come together in the past to try to launch their own app stores.

Situations like these never have a clear solution and the best option is always somewhere in the middle. Let us hope this is resolved soon and the consumers do not have to suffer.

2022 ended with a bang for all anime enthusiasts. With shows like Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War arc, Mob psycho 100 final season, Demon slayer season 2, and much more. If I am being honest I absolutely had a blast with all the amazing animes. But gentleman there is more fun to be had 2023 is full of awesome anime coming out and equally amazing anime coming back with new seasons.

Here is the list of some of the absolute banger animes coming back in 2023 with new seasons.

Attack on Titan final season part 3.

The final season of the anime has been full of twists and turns. And we as viewers have savored every second of the anime. Seeing the story from the perspective of Eldians across the sea has left all of us conflicted. The story is in full throttle and we all waiting for the anime to return.

Seeing Eren more or less embodying a villain was surprising. Especially the ending was something hard to explain, with yeagerists taking over, Marley attacking, and finally, the fact that Eren started Rumbling has left us all on a cliffhanger. At least Anne is back in the story that’s good I guess.

The anime is finally back though some fans who have read the manga are worried about the ending as it was not received very well by manga readers. But there are speculations of an anime-only ending that might address some of the objections fans had. AOT has a habit of not dropping the release date so we do not have an exact release date yet.

Demon Slayer Season 3.

Demon Slayer is an anime that never stops amazing us from the breathtaking animation to an amazing cast of characters. Everyone can agree that it is certainly one of the best anime in the recent history of anime. It is an anime that is also loved by casual fans of the anime as a whole.

Demon slayer season two was loved by all who watched it with anime expanding on the fight in the manga and the final episodes making you feel for the Demons. NGL I teared up a little when I watched the flashback and the ending scene of the demons who were an upper moon.

Demon slayer is now coming back with a season 3 titled Swordsmith village arc. This arc in the manga had some major fights. and with anime, it has the potential of becoming the best arc in the series yet. Given the animation is as good as the previous seasons. I am also looking forward to it, as it is set to release this April.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season one was really good with amazing fights and character. Though it did not exactly have a very memorable ending. Still, anime has amazing Highlights like the whole sister school exchange event the arc was very good with characters like Todo, panda, Mechamaru, Maki, etc.

Let us be honest we all want Todo as our besto freendo, someone who asks the important questions and beats up curses with you. I mean who does not need a friend to beat up curses? The prequel movie was also rather enjoyable.

Season two of the anime is sure to be a banger with a lot of Gojo lore and action. We will also get to learn about a certain special-ranked Jujutsu sorcerer who controls curses. The anime is set to return this July.

Vinland Saga coming back with season 2.

Vinland Saga is an anime set in a historical setting and follows the story of Thorfin the son of Thors. Season one of the anime is already out, amazing all the way through, and has an absolutely beautiful ending. Season one is being called the prologue and rumors has it only gets better.

Episode 24 of the anime is considered one of the best episodes ever in all of anime. Season two of the anime has already begun and the episode titled slave is already out. As a fellow anime enthusiast, I must admit I am also looking forward to the farmland arc.

 

The Year 2023 is going to be an amazing year for all the anime enjoyers with a whole bunch of amazing series either returning or starting. One piece is going to animate gear 5 and awakening, Bleach might also return, and much more. Let us enjoy this year together.

oopopStreaming services and OTT platforms have had an amazing year not just in terms of audience growth. But also with a lot of changes like ad-supported tiers, widely successful originals, and the increasing demand for VOD content. Most streaming services are planning to carry on the momentum of 2022 into 2023 with big future plans.

The year 2023 is bringing with it big mergers, acquisitions, features, etc. let us have a closer look at what different streaming services are planning for the year 2023.

Plans of Netflix for 2023.

Netflix has had a year full of ups and down but ultimately things are looking up for Netflix as a whole. Netflix has launched its ad-supported tier, which is in line with the trends in the VOD streaming space. Similarly the year 2023 is also looking like it is gonna be an eventful year.

With features like Extra members coming to monetize Password sharing launching in the first quarter of the year.  Another interesting feature coming this year is live-streaming support with Chris Rocks’ comedy special being the first thing to be streamed live.

While not related to VOD streaming Netflix is also making strides in cloud-based game streaming as well. And not to mention the rumors of a AAA PC gaming title are also spreading because of Netflix hiring a game director. Plus Netflix already has a mobile game directory with over 50 games.

Plans of Amazon Prime Video for 2023.

The Year 2022 was very successful for Amazon Prime Video, with a very successful Lord of the rings spin-off. Prime Video also acquired exclusive rights to the NFL. It is safe to say that Prime Video is going to invest even more in sports streaming.

Similar to Netflix, Prime Video is also planning to launch an ad-supported tier, again in line with the trends of the industry. This makes a lot of sense for Prime Video as its parent company already has an ad-supported streaming service called, freevee.

Some reports also shed light on the fact that Prime Video is planning to invest over a billion dollars in 12 to 15 movies. The movies would first debut in the theaters and then will be available on Prime Video. It is risky yet might be an amazing investment for the service as it has yet to invest such an amount in its originals.

Prime Video is also planning the launch of some limited series like “Bladerunner 2099”, a “God of War” live-action series, and at the very least one “Warhammer 4000” title. It has been said that beloved actor Henry Cavill is going to be the lead for Warhammer 4000 title.

Plans of Disney+ for 2023.

The year 2022 has been rather eventful for Disney+ as a platform. From a rather surprising return of Bob Iger as the CEO. The platform releases its own ad-supported tier like Netflix and amazon prime. The only problem with the ad-supported tier list is that in the states Disney+ basic is already available with the Roku streaming service.

However, this issue is expected to be resolved in the year 2023 with both services coming to some sort of agreement. Disney+ is also going to be available in 30 more countries. The platform is also going to become the exclusive home for the new episode of  Doctor Who.

One significant feature that is coming to the platform is going to be an online shop. The shop will be available in the streaming software for the platform. Fans of Disney+ will be able to buy amazing merchandise of different Disney+ Exclusives. As well as merch of Disney-owned brands like Star Wars, Disney’s animated movies, etc.

However, we do not have an official date for the launch of this feature. But it has been in testing for a while. So, let us hope we get it soon enough.
