Phillips Additive is proud to announce its collaboration with Tata IIS, a premier institution established under a Public-Private partnership between the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and the Tata Group, dedicated to enhancing skill development and technical training in India. The Additive Manufacturing Lab was successfully launched alongside the inauguration of IIS Mumbai by the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi in October 2024. IBA’s National Beverage Conclave 2024: Paving the Way for India as a Global Beverage Processing Hub

The Indian Beverage Association (IBA) is organizing the National Beverage Conclave 2024, which will be held at the ITC Maurya Hotel, Sardar Patel Marg, New Delhi. The conclave, scheduled for December 4, 2024, shall focus on the theme of “Making India a Global Beverage Processing Hub“.

The Conclave aims to position the Non-alcoholic Beverage Industry as a key driver of Indias transformation into a global beverage processing hub. The conclave will also lay touchstone emphasis on sustainable practices in beverage production, reflecting on the industrys commitment to environmental responsibility. It will spotlight the industrys potential to solidify India’s position as a key player in the global beverage processing market and contribute towards the Government of India’s vision of “doubling farmer’s income and thereby the national economy as part of the “Viksit Bharat initiative.”

The Event shall bring together key stakeholders including Policymakers, Regulatory bodies, Food Processing & Standards Authorities, Export & Trade bodies and other key players within the beverage industry. The global non-alcoholic beverage market was valued at USD 1.8 trillion in 2024 and is expected to reach USD 3.8 trillion by 2034 rising at a CAGR of 7.75%. The Indian Non-alcoholic beverage industry also plays a significant role in employment generation, with over a million jobs created across the value chain as of now, up from 6.9 lakh in 2019, driven by 30% market growth. The industry also supports millions of informal workers and contributes substantially to retail incomes, with beverages occupying over 85% of retail stores nationwide and accounting for 11% of the Total Income as an estimate of the retailer’s revenue. Despite being the world’s largest producer of key raw materials like banana, mango, lime, papaya, milk, and sugar, India’s potential as a global beverage processing hub remains untapped due to supply chain gaps and regulatory challenges. Scaling up processing facilities and adopting modern standards can position India as a leader in global beverage production.

The upgrade transforms the iconic facade into a stunning visual spectacle, offering a wide spectrum of vibrant colours and effects, enhancing the guest experience while reinforcing Dubais status as a global leader in innovation and design excellence.

The process was carefully coordinated, with a six-month mock-up testing to ensure seamless integration. The upgraded system features dynamic RGBW technology, replacing static lights with colour-changing, addressable fixtures to create complex lighting effects. Without compromising Burj Khalifa’s sleek design, the system can create dynamic lighting scenes, from festive displays to everyday illuminations, complementing the tower’s media screen and adapting to various occasions and celebrations.

Shaping the Future of Mobility: BAJA SAEINDIA 2025 Virtual Round for Vehicle Design Commences at Chitkara University, Chandigarh

BAJA SAEINDIA, the flagship event of SAEINDIA, stands as a pinnacle in collegiate engineering design competitions. Encompassing the ingenuity of aspiring engineers, participating teams undertake the comprehensive process of conceptualizing, designing, modelling, analyzing, manufacturing, validating and competing with a single-seater ATV (All-Terrain Vehicle) in a four hour Endurance. Each year, BAJA SAEINDIA engages with a substantial cohort of 5,000 to 10,000 engineering students. In this 18th season of BAJA SAEINDIA 2025 with 200 participating teams, the event will be organized in 3 phases, each phase more challenging than the previous one. The Virtual Round, hosted by Chitkara University, features static events such as sales, cost and design evaluation, along with the sustainability event and an engine simulation event. It also includes virtual dynamic events using IPG Carmaker, providing a comprehensive framework for evaluating the teams.

These milestones highlight BAJA SAEINDIA’s role as a dynamic platform that bridges the gap between academia and industry, preparing the next generation of engineers to excel in a rapidly evolving technological landscape and be industry ready.
