India–Mexico Trade Corridor: Credlix Launches India Sourcing to Strengthen Bilateral Trade and Financing for Mexican Manufacturers

0

Credlix, a global fintech platform for cross-border supply chain financing, has announced the launch of its India–Mexico Connect service. This new offering enables Mexican buyers to source industrial products directly from Indian manufacturers via the deep B2B network of Moglix—Credlix’s parent company—while accessing seamless, collateral-free trade financing.

This marks the first time an Indian B2B startup is introducing such a service in Mexico, strengthening collaboration between Mexican importers and Indian exporters, and accelerating supply chain diversification for Mexican businesses.

Credlix announces the launch of its India–Mexico Connect service at the IndMex Chamber

The service was formally introduced at the IndMex Chamber event hosted by the Embassy of India in Mexico on Thursday, June 19, in the presence of H.E. Pankaj Sharma, Ambassador of India to Mexico. Organized by the Trade and Commerce Council of India and Mexico (IndMex), the event convened key stakeholders from business, trade, and diplomacy to foster stronger bilateral ties.

“With the launch of India Sourcing for Mexico, we are enabling a new chapter in India–LATAM trade,” said Rahul Garg, Founder & CEO of Moglix and Credlix. “As Mexico grows as a nearshoring hub and India expands its manufacturing base, this initiative bridges both supply and capital gaps, creating stronger global value chains.”

Ambassador Dr. Pankaj Sharma, along with Daniel Becker Feldman, CEO of Banca Mifel, emphasized the shift from diplomatic goodwill to concrete business outcomes. Dr. Sharma reiterated the growing momentum in bilateral cooperation and stressed the importance of enabling tangible economic engagement.

Becker Feldman highlighted Mexico’s untapped potential in digital finance, noting that “over half of Mexican transactions remain cash-based,” and praised India’s digital payments infrastructure as a model Banca Mifel already leverages.

Through India–Mexico Connect, Mexican buyers can access a wide range of industrial products—including automotive components, engineering goods, chemicals, bulk packaging, textiles, and electronics—from over 20,000 Indian suppliers in the Moglix network. Backed by Credlix’s invoice-based export financing, these imports are eligible for up to 90% working capital at the time of shipment, all without collateral.

The platform addresses long-standing challenges such as payment security, sourcing complexity, and limited access to trade finance. By integrating procurement and financing into a digital-first platform, it delivers a frictionless cross-border trade experience.

Aligned with global trends such as China+1 diversification, nearshoring, and Indo-Pacific economic cooperation, this initiative aims to rapidly grow the relatively smaller USD 11 billion trade between India and Mexico, which stands in sharp contrast to Mexico’s USD 120 billion trade with China. India–Mexico Connect positions India as a reliable sourcing partner and Credlix as the financial backbone of this evolving trade corridor.

Credlix
Credlix is a global supply chain financing platform that enables SMEs to access fast, collateral-free working capital. With operations across India, the United States, Mexico, and the UAE, Credlix helps businesses scale sustainably and thrive in global markets.

Over 130 Indian MLAs & MLCs from 24 States, 21 Parties to Attend Global NCSL Summit in Boston, Facilitated by NLC Bharat 2025

0

In a significant step toward strengthening global democratic engagement, a landmark delegation of over 130 Indian legislators will participate in the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Summit in Boston, USA, from August 4 to 6, 2025. The initiative for Bharatiya delegation of legislators is being facilitated by National Legislators’ Conference Bharat (NLC Bharat), a pioneering platform dedicated to empowering Indian legislators and fostering national and international legislative collaboration, cooperation and dialogue for sharing knowledge and best practices.

Indian legislators who attended NCSL Summit 2024 in Boston as part of the NLC Bharat initiative

The delegation—comprising Members of Legislative Assemblies (MLAs) and Members of Legislative Councils (MLCs) from over 24 Indian states and representing a diverse spectrum of 21 political parties—embodies the rich and inclusive tapestry of Bharat’s democratic leadership. This historic journey began in 2024, when a pioneering group of 50 legislators participated in the Legislative Summit held in Louisville, USA—an initiative unprecedented in independent Bharat and undertaken neither by the government nor any other institution.

Now, in a landmark moment, the delegation has grown to an unprecedented 130 legislators—marking the largest-ever Indian legislative presence at any global conference. This first-of-its-kind endeavour aims to foster cross-border learning, enhance legislative capacity, and provide exposure to international best practices in governance and lawmaking.

Rooted in the success of the inaugural NLC Bharat 2023 in Mumbai, this international visit is part of a long-term vision to create non-partisan, knowledge-driven platforms for legislators. At the NCSL Summit, legislators from Bharat will participate alongside over 2,000 U.S. legislators and more than 7000 legislators from different parts of the world in sessions addressing AI in governance, digital democracy, cybersecurity, voter confidence, and policy innovation.

Dr. Rahul Karad, Founder, NLC Bharat, said, “This is not just a delegation. It is a living expression of Bharat’s democratic strength and unity in diversity — never before has such a large and representative group of Honourable MLAs and MLCs come together to engage the world on such a scale. What makes this moment even more special is the spirit behind it — the desire to learn, to grow, and to lead with wisdom and vision. When our legislators step into this international arena, they carry not only their personal aspirations, but the hopes of a billion citizens and the essence of an ancient civilization. Our goal is simple yet profound — to build meaningful bridges across democracies, to learn from each other, and to kindle conversations that transcend borders and strengthen governance.”

The itinerary includes academic orientation programs on U.S. legislative systems, visits to local institutions and state assemblies, and meetings with Indian-origin leaders across politics, academia, and industry. These engagements aim to foster meaningful dialogue between the world’s two largest democracies and deepen ties with the Indian diaspora.

The Boston delegation is part of a larger vision to create a series of international exposure programs for Indian legislators, with future visits being planned to countries across Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Through this structured engagement model, NLC Bharat aspires to build a stronger, more informed, and globally connected legislative ecosystem—one that enhances India’s democratic credentials and positions Bharat as a leader in democratic innovation on the global stage.

In a groundbreaking effort to enhance road safety education for India’s young people, the RD Foundation and Academia Axis are excited to launch the National Road Safety Mission for Kids and Youth. This new initiative is the first in India, introducing a specialized road safety curriculum and a National Road Safety Olympiad to provide thorough road safety education. This summer, during school vacations, the program aims to educate over 2 million students, making a significant impact on their understanding and practices of road safety.

India ranks number one in the world for road accident deaths, a heartbreaking reality: 17 people, tragically, die on our roads every single day. Even worse, 29 children lose their lives in road accidents daily. These are unacceptable numbers, and This is a frightening reality that we can’t ignore.

Why is this important?

  • A National Crisis: Over the past decade alone, a staggering 13 lakh+ people have perished in road accidents. This is a national crisis demanding immediate attention.

  • Young People at Risk: Many road accident victims fall within the 18-25 age group. This includes teenagers who might just be starting to ride bicycles or two-wheelers, making them especially vulnerable.

  • Two-Wheeler Dangers: Over 60% of young accident victims are two-wheeler riders. These vehicles offer little protection, highlighting the importance of proper training and safety awareness for young riders.

(Data Source – Reports by Ministry of Roads and Transport, Govt. of India)

Program Highlights:

  • Student Registration Begins April 1st, 2024: Schools across India can register students in Grades 1 through 8 for the National Road Safety Mission for Kids and Youth starting April 1st, 2024 till April 30, 2024

Primus Partners and iSPIRIT Release a Blueprint for India's DPI to Drive the Global South's SDG Progress

Primus Partners Pvt. Ltd. and iSPIRT, today announced the launch of a seminal report titled, ‘Beyond Boundaries: India’s Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) Model for Global Progress.’ The report comes after Primus Partners, in association with iSPIRT, held a multi-stakeholder Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) Roundtable last month that brought together senior bureaucrats, diplomats, policymakers, tech industry titans, and thought leaders, all united to advance DPI deployment across the Global South.

Building on the legacy of India’s G20 Presidency and the global adoption of the ‘Declaration on DPI, AI, and Data for Governance,’ the report offers a roadmap for the Global South to harness the transformative potential of DPI.

This report marks a significant milestone in documenting India’s leadership in developing Digital Public Infrastructure witnessed on 20 November at the G20 Brazil Summit when Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi unveiled the ‘Declaration on DPI, AI, and Data for Governance – Joint Communiqué by the G20 Troika (India, Brazil, and South Africa)’, co-endorsed by with Italy, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Mexico, the United Nations, World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, World Trade Organisation, and World Health Organisation.

The report pays close attention to the global discussion on DPI such as ‘Report of India’s G20 Task Force on DPI’ and the UN OSET’s ‘Universal DPI Safeguards Framework’ and empowers global policymakers with strategic insights into accelerating the progress of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 through India’s experience of DPI deployment to 1.4 billion people in over 700 government programmes and multiple private sector services such as in e-commerce and fintech.

‘Beyond Boundaries’ outlines 11 targeted recommendations that focus on how the world and the Global South especially, can draw inspiration from India’s DPI approach for public service delivery and tailor them to their specific needs in a space that is fast evolving with multiple models of DPI such as ‘Traditional Custom Build Model’ for countries with large scale population such as India to ‘DPI as a Packaged Solution Model (DaaS)’ for countries small in size and population. These recommendations are:

  • Interoperability, Open standards, and Citizen-first principles

  • Integrating Comprehensive Frameworks for DPI

  • Strategic Partnerships for Advancing DPI

  • Implementing a Phased, Layered Approach to DPI with Targeted Regulatory Support

  • Ensuring Accessibility, Inclusivity, Localisation, and Data Sovereignty in Digital Public Infrastructure

  • Driving DPI through Policy and Government Programs

  • Enhancing Data Accessibility for Successful DPI Implementation

  • Capacity Building, Skill Development, and Digital Literacy for Successful Digital Public Infrastructure Implementation

  • Ensuring Cost-Effectiveness in DPI Development

  • Strengthening R&D, Data Exchange, and Educational Initiatives to Drive DPI Success

  • Leveraging DPI to Accelerate Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Achievement by 2030

These recommendations aim to address critical governmental concerns such as data sovereignty and privacy, magnified by increasing technological penetration and digital expansion. The report discusses how the private sector can leverage open-source APIs from India Stack to fuel a booming digital economy. Additionally, the report notes significant growth in the customer base of fintech and e-commerce companies expanding into Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities through the utilization of government-supported digital infrastructure services like identity verification, payments, and data sharing.

In his foreword, Mr. Amitabh Kant, India’s G20 Sherpa, highlighted the urgent need for scalable solutions to achieve the SDGs, with only 12% currently on track. He expressed confidence in DPI’s potential to provide inclusive solutions that can scale globally, and India’s readiness to share its DPI successes with other nations wishing to develop their tailored DPI frameworks to meet local needs.

Devroop Dhar, Managing Director, Primus Partners, commented, “With ‘Beyond Boundaries’, we aim to catalyze a global shift towards more robust and inclusive digital infrastructures that can dramatically enhance societal and economic outcomes. The recommendations within this report are designed to guide and inspire action that will integrate DPI into global governance and public service delivery. DPI is among the foremost solutions to global challenges that SDG 2030 is positioned to address.”

The report provides policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders in digital transformation with a detailed framework for leveraging Digital Public Infrastructure for sustainable and inclusive global development.

Experts at Second IMPA Conclave Advocate Interdisciplinary Collaboration and Integrated Approach to Combat the Rising Metabolic Disease Burden in the Country

The International Metabolic Physicians Association (IMPA) recently concluded its 2nd IMPA Conclave in Mumbai, marking a significant milestone in the field of metabolic medicine. The conclave attracted over 450 delegates and 70 esteemed faculty members from diverse medical specializations dedicated to advancing the treatment of adult metabolic disorders.

IMPA Executive Committee & Digniteries at Conclave

The prevalence of metabolic diseases in India has been rising at an alarming rate. Currently, over 101 million people in India are living with diabetes, and 136 million have prediabetes. Obesity affects over 40% of the urban population, and metabolic-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) is now present in more than 38% of Indians. Dyslipidemia is seen in nearly 80% of adults, contributing to the growing burden of Cardiovascular Diseases, which account for nearly 28% of all deaths in India. Additionally, Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is a major concern, with one in every ten adults affected. These interlinked metabolic disorders require a holistic, integrated, and multidisciplinary approach to achieve effective prevention and management. The IMPA Conclave serves as a vital platform to bring together experts from Diabetology, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Nephrology, Bariatric Surgery, Gastroenterology, and Nutrition to foster collaboration and develop evidence-based, patient-centric strategies.

The conclave was inaugurated by Dr. Shirish Patil – Vice Chancellor of DY Patil University, Mumbai, who highlighted the critical need for interdisciplinary collaboration to address the growing global burden of metabolic diseases. The inaugural session was presided over by Prof. Dr. Shashank Joshi, a globally recognized Endocrinology expert, who delivered a compelling keynote address on ‘Thin Fat Indian – Unravelling Obesity Phenotypes and Clusters’.

Under the visionary leadership of Organizing Chairman Dr. Vimal Pahuja and Organizing Secretary Dr. Ketan Pakhale, the conclave set new benchmarks in fostering collaboration among specialists, including Diabetologists, Endocrinologists, Cardiologists, Gastroenterologists, Bariatric Surgeons, Nephrologists, and Nutritionists. The executive committee, comprising Dr. Nitin Patankar, Dr. Neeta Deshpande, Dr. Nitin Kapoor, and Dr. Rajesh Patil, played an instrumental role in delivering a seamless and impactful event.

The 2nd IMPA Conclave showcased a robust agenda with cutting-edge sessions on Metabolic Disorders, Obesity Management, Diabetes Care, and the role of emerging technologies in enhancing patient outcomes. The event also featured expert panel discussions, interactive workshops, and an industry exhibition highlighting innovations in metabolic medicine.

Reflecting on the event’s success, Dr. Ketan Pakhale stated, “IMPA’s mission is to bridge the gaps between various medical disciplines for a holistic approach to metabolic disorders. This conclave reaffirmed our commitment to evidence-based solutions and multidisciplinary teamwork.”

With overwhelming participation and insightful discussions, the conclave reinforced its status as a premier platform for advancing the science and practice of metabolic medicine. IMPA remains dedicated to expanding its initiatives and enhancing engagement within the medical community.

About IMPA

The prevalence of metabolic disorders such as Diabetes, Obesity, and Metabolic Syndrome is increasing globally. These disorders are often complex and multifaceted, requiring specialized expertise for accurate diagnosis, treatment, and management. However, current practices to manage these disorders are far from perfect, as single-disease management continues to prevail despite the need for multidisciplinary care.

The International Metabolic Physicians Association (IMPA) was formed with an idea of providing a unified platform to address the growing healthcare burden posed by metabolic disorders. The organisation aims to engage experts from multiple medical specialties, including Endocrinology, Cardiology, Nutrition, Gynaecology, Pulmonology, Nephrology and more. IMPA can facilitate collaboration among these disciplines to provide holistic care to patients.

The necessary training and skills required to treat metabolic disorders are not provided during the course curriculum of under-graduate and post-graduate courses in an integrated fashion. Healthcare professionals need ongoing education and training to stay updated with the latest developments in Metabolic Medicine. IMPA aims to provide resources, conferences, and workshops for continuous learning.
