Featuring lively music, cultural performances, interactive fitness engagements, and a wide array of food stalls, the carnival promises an electrifying, fun-filled atmosphere, delivering an unforgettable experience for runners, families, and spectators that extends well beyond the finish line.

A key speciality of the Manipal Marathon is its scenic beachside route for the 42K Full Marathon, offering runners a truly distinctive race experience. This year, the 10K run features a newly introduced route leading to the Manipal Hospice Respite Centre, marking a meaningful milestone for the event.

The hospice represents a unique integration of advanced palliative care with research and education and is envisioned as the only facility in India attached to both a medical college and a tertiary care hospital, catering to cancer and non-cancer conditions. The Manipal Hospice Respite Centre will deliver innovative care models while training the next generation of palliative care specialists, reinforcing the marathon’s commitment to social impact and compassionate healthcare.

In line with MAHE’s commitment to equity and inclusiveness, Manipal Marathon 2026 will feature special participation categories for physically challenged and visually challenged runners, along with age-specific categories. Trained volunteers and dedicated support teams will be stationed throughout the course to ensure safety, guidance, and an empowering race experience for all participants.

Dr. H. S. Ballal, Pro Chancellor, MAHE, stated, “The Manipal Marathon has evolved into a powerful platform reflecting MAHE’s commitment to building a healthier and more socially responsible society. What began as a campus-led initiative has grown into one of India’s most anticipated marathon events, driven by strong institutional support, enthusiastic student leadership, and increasing community participation. This year’s theme, ‘Miles for a Greener Tomorrow,’ reinforces our belief that individual actions, when amplified through collective community effort, can drive meaningful environmental change. By integrating fitness with sustainability and inclusiveness, the marathon encourages participants to take ownership of their well-being while remaining conscious of their impact on the planet.”

Lt. Gen. (Dr.) M. D. Venkatesh, VSM (Retd), Vice Chancellor, MAHE, added, “The 8th edition of the Manipal Marathon exemplifies the transformative power of student-led initiatives in creating large-scale social impact. With participation from across India and the world, the marathon showcases the unifying role of sport in bringing together people of diverse cultures, abilities, and age groups, while inspiring lifelong fitness and responsible citizenship.”

Strengthening MAHE’s pan-India commitment to health and sustainability, Manipal Marathon 2026 will be preceded by the inaugural MAHETHON 2026, a half-marathon scheduled on 25 January 2026 at the MAHE Bengaluru Campus. Inspired by Bengaluru’s culture of wellness, innovation, and community engagement, MAHETHON and the Manipal Marathon together represent MAHE’s nationwide vision of positioning fitness as a shared social responsibility.

Twin Triumph from LegalEdge: Delhi Brothers Secure AIR 2 & 8 in CLAT 2026

As the results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 are announced, Delhi has once again emerged as a strong talent hub for India’s next generation of legal professionals. Among this year’s standout achievers are twin brothers Parv Jain and Argh Jain from Delhi, who have secured All India Rank 2 and All India Rank 8, respectively, in one of the country’s most competitive law entrance examinations.

Twin Brothers-Parv Jain AIR 2 and ARGh Jain AIR 8 CLAT 2026

Students of LegalEdge – Delhi, the twins’ achievement stands out not only for the ranks they have secured, but for the clarity and discipline with which they pursued law as a first-choice career. At a time when many students remain uncertain about professional pathways after Class 10, Parv and Argh made an early, conscious decision to prepare for CLAT and committed themselves to a structured, long-term preparation plan.

Enrolled in LegalEdge Delhi’s two-year offline classroom programme at South Extension, the brothers followed nearly identical academic routines – attending the same classes, learning under the same mentors, and engaging in daily discussions to refine concepts across legal aptitude, logical reasoning, and quantitative techniques. Their parallel journey culminated in two Top-10 ranks, a rare outcome in the highly competitive CLAT ecosystem.

Preparing together helped us stay consistent and grounded. Whenever one of us felt stuck, the other stepped in – and the structured mentoring at LegalEdge ensured we were always moving in the right direction,” the twins shared.

Their parents described the moment as deeply emotional. “Seeing both our sons choose the same path and succeed through discipline and sustained effort has been incredibly fulfilling,” they said.

Faculty members at LegalEdge Delhi describe Parv and Argh as disciplined, curious learners who trusted the process. “CLAT preparation is a marathon. When students commit early and stay consistent, results follow,” senior mentors noted.

At LegalEdge Delhi & Gurugram, our focus has never been only on ranks, but on the journey of every student and the trust every parent places in us. We consciously work towards creating the right academic environment – one that combines structure, mentorship, emotional support, and consistency. When students feel guided and confident, outcomes follow naturally. Our student-to-selection ratio of nearly 4:1 is a reflection of this sustained, student-first approach rather than a numbers-driven mindset,” said Vikaas Wahi, Director, LegalEdge Delhi & Gurugram.

With Parv Jain (AIR 2) and Argh Jain (AIR 8) now set to join National Law University, Bengaluru, their story reflects how the right academic platform, combined with clarity of purpose and mentorship, can turn aspiration into achievement.

LegalEdge’s CLAT 2026 results from its Delhi centres (South Extension, Connaught Place, Pitampura and Dwarka) and Gurugram centres (Sector 14 and Nirvana) reflect this trend, with students securing four Top 10 ranks and fourteen Top 100 ranks, and over 300 expected NLU selections. The centres have earlier produced AIR 1 in CLAT 2025 and CLAT 2022, underscoring sustained academic consistency.

RSB Group Pledges to Achieve 50 percent Renewable Energy Adoption and 45 percent Emissions Cut by 2030

  • Achieved a 16% reduction in energy intensity over the last three years

  • Achieved a 17% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions intensity compared to FY2022–23

  • 97% of total waste diverted from landfill, reflecting strong circularity practices

  • Achieved 4% reduction in water consumption intensity through process-level efficiency initiatives

  • Five-year decarbonization roadmap sets clear 2030 sustainability targets

Marking over 50 years of engineering and manufacturing leadership, RSB Group published its first Sustainability Report, reaffirming its commitment to responsible growth, operational discipline, and long-term value creation for stakeholders. The report presents performance data across energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, water usage and waste management, supported by defined targets and alignment with global reporting standards.

RSB Group releases its first Sustainability Report 2025

Sustainability is embedded in RSB’s DNA and has been part of the Group’s approach since its inception, shaping decisions across engineering, manufacturing, and operational excellence.

Speaking on the occasion, R. K. Behera, Chairman, RSB Group, said, “Our sustainability journey is rooted in measurable actions on the factory floor. These efforts focus on improving energy use, lowering emissions, and managing water and waste responsibly. At its core, this journey is guided by our 4P framework of Purpose, People, Process, and Planet, which shapes how we design, manufacture, and deliver across our operations. The progress reflected in this report demonstrates how operational discipline, an efficient workforce and clear targets translate into meaningful outcomes. These principles are fundamental to building a sustainable and competitive manufacturing footprint for the future.”

Energy and emissions performance

According to the report, total energy consumption stood at 264,850 GJ, reflecting a ~5% reduction over the past three years, while energy intensity declined to 1.50 GJ per tonne, a ~16% improvement compared to FY22–23.

Total Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions reduced to 48,137 tCO₂e, with Scope 1 emissions declining by ~25% compared to FY22–23. GHG emissions intensity improved to 0.27 tCO₂e per tonne, marking a ~17% reduction over the same period.

The report outlines a five-year decarbonisation roadmap focused on renewable energy adoption, energy efficiency measures and low-carbon technologies. It also sets out 2030 commitments, including 50% renewable energy adoption and 60% water neutrality, building on progress already achieved.

S.K. Behera, Vice Chairman of RSB Group, added, “At RSB, sustainability is not a parallel initiative; it is embedded across the entire value chain, from product design and engineering to manufacturing, logistics, and delivery. Every process decision is evaluated through the lens of efficiency, responsibility, and long-term impact. This commitment is foundational to how we operate today and will continue to guide us as we build future-ready, sustainable manufacturing systems.”

Water and waste management

The report also highlights progress in water stewardship, with water intensity improving to 0.61 KL per tonne, a ~4% year-on-year improvement in FY24-25. Waste management initiatives enabled approximately 97% of waste to be diverted from landfill, reflecting process-level improvements across operations.

Beyond environmental metrics, the Sustainability Report outlines continued focus on employee safety, workforce skill development and community engagement. Social initiatives are implemented through RSB Foundation, with programmes spanning education, healthcare, livelihoods and environmental stewardship across multiple regions.

Aligned with SEBI BRSR and GRI standards, the Sustainability Report reflects a growing emphasis on governance, data-driven performance tracking and the integration of sustainability considerations into manufacturing operations.

Zodiac Sign Trends 2026: What the Stars (and Data) Are Telling India's Millennials

For India’s millennials, astrology has quietly moved from the margins to the mainstream. What was once a quick glance at the newspaper horoscope has now become a daily ritual powered by apps, chatbots, and live astrologers. Platforms like AstroSage, Neo Astro, and AstroTalk are seeing unprecedented traction, as young Indians turn to the stars to make sense of careers, relationships, and life’s big crossroads.

Zodiac Sign Trends 2026

The numbers tell their own story. The astrology app market in India, valued at around $163 million in 2024, is expected to grow nearly tenfold to about $1.8 billion by 2030, riding a staggering growth rate of close to 50 percent. Millions of downloads later, these platforms blend ancient Vedic wisdom with modern AI—offering everything from kundli matching and birth chart readings to instant chat consultation with astrologers. For urban, digital-first millennials navigating uncertainty, this mix feels both familiar and futuristic.

Why Millennials Are Driving the Astrology Boom
Born between 1981 and 1996, millennials now form the backbone of India’s astrology audience. Platforms report that nearly 70 percent of their users come from Gen Z and millennial cohorts, with engagement rising month after month. From relationship guidance to career timing, AI-powered chat readings have become especially popular for quick, personalised insights.

What’s striking is how deeply astrology is shaping lifestyle choices. Surveys suggest many young Indians are even planning “star-aligned” travel or key life decisions based on planetary positions. At its core, Vedic astrology’s growing appeal lies in its promise of self-understanding—helping people reflect on identity, emotions, and purpose in a fast-moving world.

The Zodiac Signs Indians Identify With Most
Some signs seem to dominate India’s zodiac landscape. Virgo often tops the list, likely influenced by the high number of births during the monsoon months. It’s followed closely by Scorpio, Sagittarius, and Capricorn—signs associated with discipline, resilience, and ambition, traits that resonate strongly with cultural values around hard work and perseverance.

Interestingly, when it comes to wealth and entrepreneurship, Gemini frequently emerges as the most common sign among billionaires globally, with Virgo close behind. Among millennials, signs like Leo, Sagittarius, and Gemini also enjoy popularity for their charisma, confidence, and leadership appeal.

What 2026 Has in Store: Key Planetary Shifts
Astrologically, 2026 is shaping up to be an eventful year. One of the most talked-about movements is Jupiter’s shift from Gemini to Cancer around June. In Vedic astrology, this transit is associated with emotional grounding, family bonds, and inner security—making it a favourable period for personal growth, learning, and long-term planning.

Later in the year, Rahu and Ketu change signs in November, moving into Capricorn and Cancer, respectively. This shift is believed to highlight ambition, career focus, and questions around emotional balance. Aries, Libra, and Capricorn ascendants, in particular, may feel these energies more strongly. Adding to the mix, multiple eclipses throughout the year are expected to bring moments of clarity, change, and course correction—rising interest among many millennials to check their free horoscope 2026 for a clearer sense of timing around key life decisions.

Saturn’s steady influence continues to emphasise discipline and responsibility—nudging people to commit to slow, meaningful progress rather than quick wins.

Turning Astrology into Everyday Guidance
For many millennials, an astrology app in 2026 won’t just be about predictions—it will be about practical direction. Jupiter’s Cancer phase is seen as a good window for investing in skills, wellness, and family priorities. Some may also turn to traditional remedies, whether it’s wearing silver for balance or simple acts of charity tied to their sign, as a way to stay aligned with positive energies.

What’s new is how seamlessly this blends with technology. Data-driven insights from apps, paired with planetary timings, are increasingly shaping decisions like job changes, partnerships, or even when to launch a new venture.

When Data Meets Destiny
As India’s millennials step into 2026, astrology is no longer just about belief—it’s becoming a lifestyle compass. Guided as much by algorithms as by alignments, this generation is redefining how ancient wisdom fits into modern life.

Whether it’s planning a career move under Jupiter’s supportive gaze or embracing Saturn’s call for patience and self-work, millennials aren’t merely reading 2026 Horoscopes. They’re building “cosmic strategies” for navigating uncertainty. In a world where data meets destiny, the stars may just favour those who learn to read both.

ISWAI Launches National Movement – 'I-pledge to Never-Drink-and-Drive'

The International Spirits and Wines Association of India (ISWAI), a key advocate for the Indian Premium Alcoholic Beverage Industry, announced a nationwide digital movement, ‘I-pledge to Never-Drink-and-Drive’ (I-Pledge NDAD), reinforcing its continued commitment to community well-being. The I-Pledge NDAD initiative is aimed at engaging the public to promote a culture of ‘never to drink and drive’, and encourage responsible consumption across India.

Starting with an impactful Never-Drink-and-Drive campaign in Lucknow and Chandigarh earlier this year, the movement now expands its national footprint, leveraging digital media to drive a sustained behavioural change.

To create wider awareness and build on this momentum, the ‘I-pledge’ movement invites citizens across India to voluntarily commit to ‘Never Drink and Drive.’ Hosted at the ISWAI’s website (pledge.iswai.in), the campaign enables citizens to take a simple online pledge and receive a personalized certificate acknowledging their commitment to this important cause. A real-time pledge counter highlights growing public participation, while social sharing with #NeverDrinkAndDrive helps amplify the message nationwide.

Speaking on the roll-out, Sanjit Padhi, CEO, ISWAI, said, “The ‘I-pledge’ movement is not just a digital initiative, it is a collective call for responsible behaviour. By empowering individuals to make a conscious commitment to never drink and drive, we aim to build a culture where safety is prioritised. The power of ‘I-pledge’ reinforces the fact that ‘change begins with you’.”

Sanjit Padhi further added, “Driving under the influence continues to be a leading cause of road accidents in India. Through the ‘I-pledge’ platform, we encourage citizens to choose safer alternatives, such as a designated driver, a cab, or not driving after drinking at all. With over 1,800 citizens already committed, the campaign calls on many more to take the pledge, spread awareness, and help make our roads safer for everyone.”

As a responsible industry body, ISWAI continues to create awareness among the public on safe consumption and safe driving through various campaigns, especially during festive seasons and celebrations, when socialising is common.

ISWAI calls upon citizens across India to take the I-Pledge and be part of this important movement.
