Himalaya Food International Ltd. (BSE: 519238), a leading Indian food processing company, has announced key developments in its international expansion strategy with the launch of its Frozen Cinnamon French Toast Sticks in the United Kingdom and the registration of its products with US Foods, one of the largest foodservice distributors in the United States.

The entry into the UK market marks the company’s first product launch in the region and forms part of its strategy to diversify export markets and expand its presence across Europe. The UK will serve as a gateway for the company to promote its broader range of value-added frozen food products, including specialty potato products and frozen appetizers, across the European Union.

 

The expansion follows the company’s recent export initiatives in Australia earlier this year, as Himalaya Food International strengthens its global footprint and mitigates the impact of changing international trade dynamics.

 

The company expects its European expansion to benefit from the recently concluded India–EU trade agreement, which is expected to improve export competitiveness through favourable duty structures and enhanced logistics integration.

 

In a parallel development, Himalaya Food International has successfully completed product registration with US Foods, marking its transition from operating as a spot vendor since 2025 to becoming a Regular Approved Vendor within the distributor’s procurement network.

 

Following the approval, APN numbers have been assigned to the company’s core product range, enabling procurement teams across the US Foods network to place direct orders through their centralized purchasing systems.

 

The initial product portfolio approved under the program includes:

  • French Fries – Straight Cut

  • French Fries – Crinkle Cut

  • French Fries – Shoestring

  • Baked Potato Skins (BPS)

 

The development is expected to significantly enhance Himalaya’s reach across the extensive US Foods distribution network, providing opportunities for future product listings and expansion across North American foodservice channels.
