The newly inaugurated facility is designed to integrate advanced immersive virtual reality and simulation into formal health science education, enabling learners to train repeatedly in realistic, high-risk clinical scenarios without compromising patient safety. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to bridge long-standing gaps in traditional training models, particularly in a country where scale, diversity of learners, and variability in clinical exposure continue to pose systemic challenges.

The inauguration was held in the august presence of Dr. Bhagavan B.C., Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, underscoring the academic and institutional significance of this initiative. Senior leadership from Krupanidhi Group of Institutions and members of simulation education ecosystem also attended the event, reinforcing the importance of industry–academia partnerships in shaping future-ready healthcare professionals.

He noted that technology and innovation in skill training is becoming foundational to India’s healthcare, medical education, and global competitiveness, and said the partnership aims to help Indian institutions adopt globally aligned, cutting-edge learning infrastructure that remains relevant to India’s clinical realities. The Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor – Dr Bhagavan B C, appreciated the institution’s commitment to innovation and quality in nursing education and emphasized the role of such advanced learning environments in building clinical competence, confidence, and patient safety.

This collaboration assumes national relevance at a time when India is prioritising quality, safety, and standardisation in healthcare education under broader policy frameworks such as digital health, skill development, and technology-enabled learning. By embedding immersive simulation into institutional curricula, the initiative sets a replicable model for medical colleges, nursing institutions, and allied health programs across the country.

The Krupanidhi – MediSim VR collaboration is positioned not merely as a technology deployment, but as a long-term academic partnership aimed at improving learning outcomes, reducing training variability, and strengthening India’s healthcare workforce for the future.

Vidhi Singhania Returns to Mumbai with 'Thehraav' A Stand-Alone Exhibition After Five Years

As fashion continues to shift with global influences, evolving silhouettes, and ever-changing trends, there remains a quiet pull towards what feels rooted and enduring. After five years, celebrated textile designer Vidhi Singhania returns to Mumbai with Thehraav  – a stand-alone exhibition that marks a deeply personal homecoming.

Vidhi Singhania’s Thehraav  marks a return to Indian handloom and heritage textiles

For Vidhi Singhania, Mumbai is more than a city – it is home. And Thehraav is not just an exhibition, but a reflection of her journey spanning over three decades. It is a return to Indian handloom, artisanal excellence, and an enduring respect for heritage that has defined her work through the years.

Thehraav: A Pause
In a time when fashion is fast and trends are fleeting, Thehraav stands as a reminder of the beauty of the pause – of choosing mindful creation over mass production, and craftsmanship over convenience. The collection celebrates the idea of slowing down, honouring textiles made by hand, by Indian artisans who carry forward generations of skill, patience, and pride.

Every piece reflects Vidhi Singhania’s unwavering commitment to being Made in India, where each weave tells a story of continuity, purpose, and soul.

The exhibition brings together Vidhi Singhania’s iconic handwoven Kota and Banarasi sarees, presented alongside a versatile range of contemporary yet timeless silhouettes. The showcase includes shirts, blouses, jackets, outfits, co-ord sets, and a thoughtfully curated wedding collection – all unified by a deep reverence for Indian textiles and craftsmanship.

While the designs evolve with modern sensibilities, they remain firmly anchored in tradition, celebrating handloom as both a living art form and a cultural legacy.

Exhibition Details
Thehraav will be held on January 23rd, 2026, at the Sunset Lounge, Trident Oberoi Hotel, Nariman Point, Mumbai.

Rooted in continuity and craft, the exhibition is a celebration of evolving with time while staying connected to one’s roots, an invitation to come home to handloom, and to rediscover the enduring elegance of Indian textiles through the lens of one of India’s most respected textile designers.

About Vidhi Singhania
Vidhi Singhania is a celebrated textile revivalist known for her unwavering commitment to Indian handloom and artisanal craftsmanship. With over three decades of work rooted in tradition, she has played a key role in reviving and reimagining heritage weaves such as Kota Doria and Banarasi textiles, working closely with master artisans across India. Her designs balance timeless elegance with contemporary sensibility, making her brand synonymous with handwoven luxury, authenticity, and the enduring beauty of Indian textiles.

The combined entity will have meaningful scale, surpassing $100 million in annual revenue from more than 4,000 customers globally. Together, we see an opportunity to create a global leader that delivers greater scale, depth, and consistency to customers, while staying committed to the core value proposition that have made both companies successful,” said Sparsh Gupta, Co-founder and CEO, VWO.

This combination gives us the opportunity to pursue the same ambition we’ve always had, but at a much greater scale and significantly expanded resources,” said Alix de Sagazan, Co-CEO, AB Tasty.

Huawei: Automation, Digitalization, and AI as Key Drivers for Modernizing Power Grids

In 2025 alone, more than 10 major power outages disrupted electricity supplies worldwide, affecting over 1.2 billion people. Ensuring system stability has remained a top priority for global power companies.

Jason Li, President of Global Marketing & Solutions, Electric Power Digitalization BU, Huawei

Stability is not their only concern, however; the drive toward carbon neutrality is accelerating the adoption of renewable energy and electrification. Integrating large amounts of new energy sources and managing unpredictable new loads requires flexibility from power systems.

Jason Li, President of the Marketing & Solution Sales Dept of Huawei Electric Power Digitalization BU, explained that, “In the past, we relied mostly on automation to address issues in power grids. In the future, however, power grids will transform from mere transmission systems into pivotal players in the energy transition. Digitalization and AI are shifting from optional upgrades to essential elements in core power generation. Together with automation, they form the key drivers for modernizing power grids.”

He added, “We believe that deeply integrating digital technologies into power scenarios and reshaping production and operations with telecommunications and AI will enable grids to achieve both ultimate stability and flexibility.”

The large-scale integration of distributed PV, energy storage, and charging piles into the grid, coupled with growing user interaction and potential load-side transactions, presents new challenges for maintaining the balance, stability, and security of distribution networks.

The breakthrough for future power systems lies in the distribution network,” Jason noted. “And the key to addressing distribution challenges is transparency at the 400 V low-voltage level. “The newly launched ILCE-7V sets a new benchmark for an all-around Full-Frame camera. Built to offer a great imaging experience, it is a tool that push the boundaries of creativity and capture imagery beyond imagination. This is made for creators who wants advanced controls, next-gen innovation & lightning-fast speed,” said Mukesh Srivastava, Head of Digital Imaging Business, Sony India

AI-Powered Performance Boosts

The ILCE-7V integrates the AI processing unit into the BIONZ XR2 engine, delivering a substantial leap in autofocus speed, accuracy, and reliability. The ILCE-7V has up to 30% improvement(4) in Real-time Recognition AF that instantly recognizes targeted subjects and continues to capture them with high precision. With 759 phase-detection points and up to 94% frame coverage, the camera ensures precise subject tracking across nearly the entire image area, even in challenging low-light conditions down to EV -4.0(5). High-resolution RAW processing is now supported through Imaging Edge Desktop application(6) for unapparelled post-production flexibility.

No compromise High-speed Continuous Shooting

The combination of a partially stacked Exmor RS™ CMOS image sensor with approximately 4.5 times faster(7) readout speed increased and the BIONZ XR2™ processor results in high image quality with minimal distortion.

Additionally, high-precision tracking with up to 60 times AF/AE calculations per second and blackout-free continuous shooting up to 30 fps(8) with our philosophy has always been centered around understanding creators and building products that enable them to bring their ideas to life with confidence. India is witnessing a remarkable rise of visual creators, and Sony India is proud to play a role in enabling this growth. With the ILCE-7V, we continue to strengthen our ecosystem, delivering reliable, intuitive, and world-class imaging solutions that empower creators across genres to craft their vision with clarity, purpose, and imagination. AF/AE tracking(9) ensures no missed opportunities even with fast-moving subjects moving in complex patterns, such as in wildlife and sports photography. Even during 14-bit RAW shooting, it achieves high-speed continuous shooting at up to 30 fps with AF/AE tracking.

The Pre-Capture function(10), which can record up to 1 second before the shutter is pressed, captures decisive moments even with subjects whose movements are difficult to predict, such as pets and sports.

Outstanding Still Image Performance

Engineered for maximum creative control, the ILCE-7V achieves up to 16 stops of dynamic range(11), ensuring remarkable tonal detail across highlights and shadows. Even in scenes with extreme contrast, it expresses natural and smooth gradations from dark to bright areas.

The newly introduced AI-driven Auto White Balance (AWB) leverages advanced scene analysis for consistent color rendering and uses light source estimation through deep learning technology. By automatically identifying the light source in the shooting environment with high precision and adjusting to appropriate color tones, it enables natural and stable color reproduction, resulting in more faithful colors and reducing post-production workload.

Versatile Video Capabilities

Expanding creative possibilities for hybrid creators, the ILCE-7V introduces additional 4K recording modes, including 7K oversampled 4K 60p recording(12) available in full-frame mode and 4K 120p(13) recording in APS-C mode/Super 35mm delivers rich, detailed footage with exceptional flexibility in editing.  Full pixel readout without pixel binning enables highly detailed video recording to the finest details.

The image stabilization features Dynamic Active Mode(14), enabling smooth and stable video expression even when handheld. Users can enjoy high-quality video recording in a wide range of scenes, from vlogs and creative productions to capturing family memories.

The camera also features an Auto Framing function that automatically maintains optimal composition of subjects during recording through AI-powered subject recognition. This enables stable composition video recording in various scenes.

New in-camera noise reduction and improved internal mic functionality(15) ensures high-quality audio recording by reducing steady background noises, minimizing interference, and maintaining natural sound.

Built for Reliability

1 in 2 Cricket Viewers Use Truecaller During Matches

Cricket in India is more than a sport. It functions as a behavioural system that influences how people think, decide, coordinate and spend. The Great Indian Cricket Fan on Truecaller, a new study by Truecaller in partnership with VTION, reveals that key cricket moments consistently translate into real-world actions on mobile phones, shaping communication patterns and consumer behaviour in real time.

The Great Indian Cricket Fan on Truecaller Study

The study underscores that cricket represents a high-intent moment, rather than a passive viewing occasion. Nearly one in two cricket viewers is active on Truecaller during matches, according to the study, offering brands access to audiences precisely when coordination and decision-making peak. The study observes an approximately 21 percent uplift in active usage on Truecaller versus pre-cricket baselines, driven by increased calling and utility-led behaviour rather than passive browsing.

“Cricket delivers unmatched scale for brands, but scale alone is no longer sufficient. What truly drives impact is access to moments when people are ready to act. Truecaller enables brands to show up within trusted, decision-led environments during cricket, transforming heightened attention into meaningful, measurable outcomes,” said Hemant Arora, VP of Global Ad Business at Truecaller.

Cricket has evolved into a dual-screen experience: television fuels emotion, while the mobile phone is where action unfolds. The study reveals that 76 percent of viewers use their phone while watching cricket, spanning activities like messaging, score checks, food ordering and payments, with clear usage uplift across multiple high-value categories, signalling heightened intent and transaction readiness.

“Cricket does not end on the TV screen. It continues on the phone. Because the phone is always in hand during live matches, decisions shift there. Our study shows that in these high-emotion moments, people move toward trusted utility environments to act. Calling apps and payment platforms emerge among the most trusted environments, and Truecaller is one of them,” said Archana Roche, Global Head of Measurement & Analytics, Truecaller.

The study positions Truecaller as a key decision environment during cricket, where attention, trust and action converge. These insights underpin Truecaller’s cricket season offerings, which are seeing strong adoption from brands across key categories.

The Great Indian Cricket Fan on Truecaller Study

“Cricket is a high-attention environment, which makes recall-based measurement unreliable. Passive mobile-behaviour measurement allows us to observe what people actually do on their phones during live matches, rather than what they claim to do,” said Manoj Dawane, Founder & CEO, VTION.AI.

Methodology
The study combines passive mobile behaviour signals from approximately 12,300 cricket viewers from VTION panel who are Truecaller users and a primary survey on VTION panel of 828 respondents analysed in partnership with VTION, a digital intelligence platform specialising in passive mobile-behaviour measurement. Primary survey fieldwork was conducted among cricket viewers in Dec 2025. Passive mobile behaviour was observed continuously across the March-May 2025 cricket window and benchmarked against a pre-cricket baseline.
