Strategically located in Hyderabad, the Experience Centre is designed to meet the dynamic needs of Telangana’s burgeoning hospitality, food service, and commercial sectors.

Pune Gas Experience Centre in Hyderabad

Mr. Jesal Sampat, Executive Director, Pune Gas shared, “Pune Gas has always believed in transforming businesses through gas innovation. With our Experience Centres, we are bridging the knowledge gap and making our systems more accessible to businesses of every scale. As energy costs rise and sustainability mandates become stricter, it’s vital that industries move to smarter, cleaner alternatives-and that’s exactly what we offer.”

Mr. P Vinay Prakash, Franchise Owner – Pune Gas Experience Centre, Hyderabad added,“We are excited to bring this first-of-its-kind centre to Telangana. Well-known names such as The Minerva Coffee Shop and Broadway FoodStories are already reaping the benefits of Pune Gas systems. This Experience Centre now empowers every business-from small cloud kitchens to large-scale manufacturers-to explore gas solutions that can boost both profitability and sustainability.”

Where Innovation Meets Efficiency: A Glimpse inside the Experience Centre

The newly launched centre provides an immersive, hands-on look at cutting-edge gas solutions, with a spotlight on:

LPGenius: The world’s first Smart LPG System, proudly Made in India and installed in thousands of commercial kitchens and industrial setups across the country. LPGenius enables commercial users to eliminate common inefficiencies such as cylinder freezing and sweating, dramatically improving operational output and fuel optimization. The system supports the use of LOT (Liquid Off-Take) 47.5 kg cylinders, a far more efficient alternative to traditional 19 kg cylinders.

With proven savings of 20-30% on LPG costs, LPGenius is becoming the go-to system not just for efficiency, but for compliance as well-especially as environmental regulations tighten in response to India’s declining air quality.

FuelFusion: A revolutionary dual-fuel kit that enables diesel generator sets to run on a combination of LPG and diesel, significantly reducing diesel dependency and lowering CO₂ emissions.

LeakCheck – A sophisticated gas leak detection system built with modern aesthetics and precision engineering, designed to protect both people and property across industrial and commercial premises.

From basic components to state-of-the-art vaporizer systems, the Hyderabad Experience Centre enables customers to find comprehensive solutions, tailored guidance, and complete clarity on system selection-all under one roof.

Meeting the Energy Challenge Head-On

India consumed 30,916 TMT of LPG in FY 2022-23, with only 16% attributed to industrial and commercial sectors. The rest continues to rely heavily on traditional fossil fuels such as diesel, furnace oil, kerosene, and even wood-fuels that are inefficient and polluting.

Telangana alone accounts for over 1.16 lakh industrial and commercial LPG customers, and Andhra Pradesh for 1.41 lakh+. Yet many of these users still face avoidable challenges like LPG cylinder freezing, which can result in a daily loss of 3-4 kg of LPG per cylinder.

Pune Gas’ flagship systems, especially LPGenius, offer a powerful solution to this problem. By ensuring optimum vaporization and flow, and supporting the adoption of LOT cylinders, LPGenius helps users improve productivity, reduce waste, and increase margins-all while embracing a cleaner, smarter fuel.

Right to Protein Celebrates the Global Annual ‘Soy Month’ 2025

  • Joins Hands with SFPWA for International Soy Conference to promote soy in sustainable food systems and protein-rich diets in India

  • Unveils a rebranding report titled ‘Soy: A Superfood and Wonderbean, addressing India’s unique protein challenges with Soy as a solution

April marks the annual global celebration of Soy Month, a tribute to the versatile and nutritious and protein packed superfood – Soy. The dedicated protein awareness campaign, the Right to Protein’ has kickstarted celebrations for Soy Month, emphasizing the crucial role soybeans play in fostering sustainable food systems and protein-rich diets.

L to R: Anne Meis – U.S. Soybean farmer; Kevin Roepke – Regional Director – SAASSA, USSEC; Mark Read – U.S. Soybean farmer & David Williams – U.S. Soybean farmer

To commemorate Soy Month, ‘Right-To-Protein‘ partnered with SFPWA (Soy Food Promotion and Welfare Association) to host the International Conference on ‘Farm to Fork: Bridging the Protein Gap in India through Sustainable Soy Foods‘ on April 4-5, 2025, at the Indore Marriott. The flagship event brought together leaders in nutrition science, food technology, agriculture, and public policy to discuss how soy-based foods and meat such as fish and chicken – can address Indias widening protein gap.

Speaking at the conference, Kevin Roepke, Regional Director – South Asia & Sub-Saharan Africa, U.S. Soybean Council Export (USSEC), mentioned, “Historically, soybeans potential for nutrition security in India was recognized during the Bengal famine. A specific researcher, Sanka Day, reached out to the University of Illinois, and subsequently, various research institutions and universities were developed in the 1960s and 1970s, leading to identifying a need for a solution.

Highlighting the potential for U.S.-India collaboration in innovation, he further added, “Looking ahead to our bilateral relationship, the future appears promising. We can collaborate on innovative uses for soy protein and products, including industrial applications and food uses, and enhance supply chains like poultry and aquaculture, where soy plays a significant role. Effective collaboration and partnerships are crucial. U.S. Soy Farmers and USSEC are prepared to partner with Indian stakeholders to achieve a protein and nutrition-secure future.”

U.S. Soybean farmers Anne Meis, David Williams, and Mark Read shared their perspectives on the critical role of U.S. Soy in providing high-quality, sustainable protein solutions worldwide.

Sumit Agarwal, Director of Bionutrients, emphasized the need for a mindset shift, “A paradigm shift in mindset and ecosystem can be achieved by positioning soy correctly. For example, soy can be included in protein shakes for the youth as a recovery protein, meeting todays needs. The key aspect to highlight is that soy is a complete protein. Substantial research is also ongoing to debunk myths preventing large-scale consumption of soy foods.”

Additionally, ‘Right to Protein’ unveiled a rebranding of a report titled ‘Soy — A Superfood and Wonderbean,’ which defines soy’s role in addressing Indias protein deficiencies. Key insights from the report include:

India’s Protein Deficiency Crisis:

  • Rural vs. Urban Gap: Rural adult women have a median protein intake of 45.9 grams per day, which is 83% of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA). Urban adults consume slightly more, averaging 55.4 grams per day.

  • Protein Quality Matters: Traditional Indian diets are largely cereal-based and often lack complete amino acid profiles, affecting overall protein adequacy.

Vegetarian Diets Need Complementary and Protein Sources:

  • Dietary Practices: A significant portion of the Indian population practices vegetarianism, relying on cereals and pulses for protein, which may not provide complete protein profiles. Although milk production in India has increased substantially, milk consumption has not changed significantly.

  • Soy Protein, as a plant-based, complete protein is ideally suited for vegetarian diets. It provides all 9 essential amino acids in optimal ratios required for human growth and development.

Child Nutrition

  • According to National Family Health Survey 2019-2021, approximately 36% of Indian children under five are stunted, 17% are underweight, and 6% are wasted — these conditions are linked to chronic protein and nutrient deficits.

Sanjeev Astana, CEO of Patanjali Foods, one of India’s largest soy processors, shared insights on scaling domestic soy production,”Our strategy to boost soy production involves close collaboration with farmers, daily procurement availability, and policy work with industry and government. This approach drives higher production, making soy products more affordable and accessible. Our diverse soy food products showcase soys versatility in the food industry.”

Peninsula Professional – Watches Celebrating the Great Indian Outdoors

In the spirit of producing world-class watches based on modern Indian themes, Bangalore Watch Company has introduced their latest watch collection – Peninsula Professional. This new collection is a line of watches that celebrate the story of India’s natural landscapes, and geographic diversity.

Limited Edition Watch – Mannar – The Peninsula Professional

The story of India is not merely centuries old, but hundreds of millions of years old. The Indian peninsula formed when a landmass separated from an ancient continent called Gondwana, about 180 million years ago,” said Nirupesh Joshi, the Co-founder of the brand.

Watch brands from around the world have always focused on nature and outdoors. Specific lines of watches have been created for recreational purposes like diving or hiking. Our Peninsula collection is an all-purpose outdoor watch – it can be used 200 meters underwater in the Indian Ocean, as well as 8000 meters above sea level on a Himalayan peak,” added Mercy Amalraj, Co-founder and Head of Ownership Experience of the brand.

The Indian outdoors is so diverse – there are the Himalayan peaks, our Oceans, and the lush Rainforests. A single-purpose recreational luxury watch does not do justice to this incredible diversity. The Peninsula Professional collection has been designed from the ground up to reimagine the recreational luxury outdoor watches category.

The design of the watch is inspired by the single most ubiquitous element in nature – the Pebble stone. Its bezel-less design is a big change from traditional outdoor watches. While dive watches have a rotating bezel for tracking time underwater, the Peninsula Professional is made for a variety of outdoor environments. By removing the bezel, the team has expanded the amount of dial space, focusing on legibility and luminosity. Built entirely using a surgical-grade steel body, with a scratch-resistant superdome Sapphire crystal, powered by a Swiss Sellita Automatic movement, and built for 200 Meters of watertightness, the watches are built for a variety of activities like watersports and hiking.

As a young brand, we’ve always pushed the envelope when it comes to storytelling and technical capabilities. We built a wristwatch that was qualified for Spaceflight, we have built watches using materials recovered fighter-planes and aircraft carriers. With this new watch, we are pushing the limits on a watch that can withstand our customers’ pursuits in the Great Outdoors,” added Mercy Amalraj.

We are presenting four watches as part of this launch – Agumbe – celebrating the lush rainforests of India, Laccadive – a tribute to the 7500 Kms of Indian coastlines, Zanskar – tells our love for the Himalayas and the high-peaks, and lastly a limited-edition watch called the Mannar. For 2000 years, freedivers risked deep waters to find rare wild pearls in the Gulf of Mannar region between India and Sri Lanka. These pearls were highly valued and became symbols of power. Mannar contains a dial made entirely from a rare black mother-of-pearl. It has unique patterns that tell the story of the regions past. Each watch is unique owing to the natural striations in the mother of pearl.

The Peninsula Professional watch is priced at INR 1,10,000 (USD 1,300 approximately) and can be ordered via the brand’s website www.bangalorewatchco.in.

Mamta Farsaiya’s Captivating Kathak Debut Marks ‘Manch Pravesh’ Celebration in Delhi

A grand celebration of Indian classical dance took center stage with ‘Manch Pravesh‘ – the debut Kathak performance of Mamta Farsaiya – enthralling audiences with its grace and tradition. The event was held at the Stein Auditorium, India Habitat Centre. It was graced by the presence of Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Member of Parliament from Gautam Buddh Nagar and former Union Minister who attended as the Chief Guest.

Mamta Farsaiya Makes Graceful Kathak Debut

A disciple of Vidushi Saraswati Sen – the senior-most student of the late Padma Vibhushan Pt. Birju Maharaj Ji, Mamta beautifully carried forward the legacy of the guru-shishya tradition. Her performance was a heartfelt tribute to the classical art form and a major milestone in her dance journey.

The evening commenced with a traditional Ganesh Vandana, setting a spiritual tone for the performances that followed. Mamta presented a series of emotive and technically rich Kathak compositions, blending rhythm (laya), beat (taal), and expression (bhav) with finesse. Each segment was met with resounding applause from an appreciative audience, creating an electrifying ambience throughout the auditorium.

Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Member of Parliament from Gautam Buddh Nagar and former Union Minister stated, “Indian classical arts are an intrinsic part of our cultural heritage. Mamta’s performance today was not just a display of skill but also of devotion and discipline. Her journey is inspiring, and I commend her commitment to preserving this rich tradition.”

Expressing her heartfelt emotions post-performance, Mamta Farsaiya said, “This was my first experience on a professional stage, and it felt like a dream come true. Kathak is the soul of my existence, and the warmth and appreciation I received today will remain etched in my heart forever.

The event was attended by an esteemed gathering, including Rajesh Bhardwaj, Chairman of Wheelchair Cricket India Association, celebrated artists, gurus, and cultural patrons from Delhi-NCR. The audience unanimously hailed Mamta as a promising new talent in the Indian classical dance community and extended their best wishes for her future endeavours.
