Flipkart, India’s homegrown e-commerce marketplace, today announced a major expansion of its pan-India supply chain infrastructure ahead of its flagship festive event, The Big Billion Days. With the addition of new fulfilment centres (FCs) and last-mile hubs across key states such as Uttar Pradesh (Varanasi, Agra, Ghaziabad), Bihar (Patna), Haryana (Manesar), and Tripura (Agartala), Flipkart is deepening its regional presence, enabling faster festive deliveries, and creating thousands of jobs while powering the rapid growth of quick commerce in India.

This year’s expansion spans 35 lakh sq. ft., covering 21,000+ pincodes nationwide.

Facilities for all, including Large, Non-Large & Grocery:

  • The new operational Varanasi Center is spread across 2.0 lakh sq. ft., generating 3600 direct and indirect job opportunities.

  • The newly operational Patna Fulfilment Center, a 4.5 lakh sq. ft. cornerstone facility, serves more than 1,000 pincodes and has created over 1,100 direct and indirect jobs.

  • Flipkart is now operating in a Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Manesar, one of India’s largest state-of-the-art facilities. Spread over 140 acres, the RDC will create over 10,000 direct and indirect jobs, contributing significantly to local employment. The center is expected to cater to a wide range of products, including parcel goods, white goods, and furniture, adapting its assortment dynamically to meet customer requirements and market trends.

  • Flipkart expanded its footprint in the Northeast with its first grocery fulfillment center in Agartala, Tripura. Spread over 35,000 square feet and equipped with a daily dispatch capacity of 5,000 orders per day.

In addition to Varanasi, Patna, Manesar, Ranchi, Ghaziabad, Agra and Agartala, Flipkart has gone live with new facilities in Guwahati, Singur, and Saidham, to name a few, strengthening last-mile reach ahead of the festive season. With these additions, Flipkart’s network now comprises over 100 fulfilment centers nationwide, collectively capable of processing millions of festive orders with speed and precision.

The Lac Hong 900 LX is a limited-edition flagship model that embodies Vietnam’s cultural heritage and national pride, symbolizing the “Fierce Vietnamese Spirit”

Inspired by the Vietnamese legend of the “Descendants of the Dragon and Fairy” (Con Lac chau Hong), the Lac Hong 900 LX reflects the capability, intelligence, and aspirations of the Vietnamese people in the new era. Every design detail blends cultural legacy with global standards.

Both variants, Standard and Armored, feature a commanding and luxury presence with a 3,349 mm wheelbase and exterior details celebrating Vietnam’s heritage: a gold-plated logo shaped like the mythical Lac bird, a grille reminiscent of Dong Son bronze drums, and parallel grille bars symbolizing Vietnam’s iconic bamboo groves.

The cabin is crafted with premium materials such as Golden Nanmu wood, Nappa leather, and genuine gold detailing. Every gold-plated element inside and outside the vehicle is handcrafted with meticulous precision. The interior offers world-class comfort with extra-wide executive seating, premium footrests, a soundproof glass partition, electric curtains, and an advanced intercom system between the front and rear cabins.

The Armored Edition is developed in partnership with INKAS Armored Vehicle Manufacturing (Canada), a leading global name in armored car, features reinforced and fully-armored bodywork, bullet-resistant glass, and an armored rear partition. The vehicle underwent rigorous testing at Beschussamt Ulm (Germany), enduring 440 live rounds and 11 explosive blasts from beneath and above the vehicle. Certified to VPAM VR7, it can withstand NATO Ball M80 rifle ammunition and DM51 grenades.

Additional safety and emergency features include run-flat tires capable of driving 80-100 km after puncture, optional onboard oxygen supply, integrated fire suppression system, satellite phone, warning lights, and sirens, etc… depending on mission requirements.

The first fleet of Lac Hong 900 LX delivered to Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs includes two Armored units and ten Standard units, affirming the vehicles’ quality, safety, and craftsmanship at the highest international level.

The Innovation Story and IIT Bombay Launch India’s Largest Student Robotics Championship

In a landmark initiative to inspire India’s young innovators, The Innovation Story (TIS), in collaboration with Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and supported by Param Capital has launched the National Robotics League (NRL), a robotic competition for students in grades 7-12, to be held at IIT Bombay in December 2025. At today’s launch, guests got a first look at the 2025 game theme “Battle of Charges“, with student teams playing the first live NRL match. The new NRL Portal was also unveiled, now open for school and student registrations nationwide.

Chai, Cheers & Chef: Gaur City Mall & Sanjeev Kapoor Cooks Recipe of Lasting Memories

The week couldn’t have started on a more flavourful note. At Gaur City Mall in Greater Noida West, star power lit up the atrium as Padma Shri and India’s favourite chef, Sanjeev Kapoor, walked in to a rousing welcome.

The atrium was buzzing. Foodies, home chefs and bloggers packed the space, many juggling phones and aprons, eager for that one selfie with the man who made cooking cool on television. Some waved recipe books, others simply wanted to say a quick “hello, Chef.”

The fun began with a recipe contest that had seen over 200 entries in the run-up. Winners got to meet Kapoor on stage, grinning ear to ear as he shared tips, signed aprons and posed for photos.

Adding to the energy was a candid on-stage exchange between Mrs. Manju Gaur, Director, Gaurs Group (formerly Gaursons), and the chef. Their quick banter, the businesswoman vs. the creative chef, mixed humour with reflections on success, failures and conviction, drawing cheers from the crowd.
