Citrus Growers’ Association of Southern Africa Launches Promotional Campaign in India

For many years South Africa has been a dependable and beloved supplier of citrus to India. To strengthen this relationship, a new marketing campaign has been launched in India to boost consumer awareness, stimulate demand, and highlight the superior quality, taste, and health benefits of premium South African citrus fruits.

Beautiful Country, Beautiful Fruit, Exceptional Taste

The campaign not only introduces new Indian consumers to the unique character of some of the world’s finest citrus but also builds on the friendship and trade ties between South Africa and India – two nations connected by deep historical, cultural and economic bonds. The wider enjoyment of fresh and tasty citrus fruits will be an expression of these valued bonds.

Spearheaded by Citrus Growers’ Association of Southern Africa, the campaign will strengthen connections between Indian consumers, importers, and retailers, and the passionate South African growers who grow citrus in some of the most scenic valleys in Africa. As Indian households increasingly prioritise healthier food choices, South African citrus stands out as a naturally delicious source of nutrition, such as Vitamin C.

Running throughout the peak import season, the campaign features a mix of in-store promotions, product sampling, chef and influencer partnerships, social media engagement, and strategic collaborations with leading retailers and distributors – ensuring high visibility and strong recall at the point of purchase.

We are energised and motivated to bring the freshness, flavour, and natural goodness of South African citrus to Indian consumers,” said Sachin Khurana, India Representative of the Citrus Growers’ Association of Southern Africa. “This campaign celebrates not only the beautiful fruit from the beautiful country, but also the exceptional taste of the fruit.

India has become one of the key growth markets for citrus imports, driven by rising incomes, evolving lifestyles, and greater interest in health-conscious diets. Recognising this opportunity, the campaign will actively engage with key stakeholders across the Indian fresh produce supply chain to ensure access and availability across retail and wholesale channels.

Retail promotions will go live across leading retail chains and quick-commerce platforms in key metropolitan areas and tier-II cities, showcasing the vibrancy and zest of South African citrus. In addition, this campaign will also feature multiple activations in leading wholesale markets, ensuring wide availability while reinforcing South Africa’s well-earned reputation as a trusted supplier of premium citrus.

Shikshagraha Awards 2026: Call for Nominations to Honour Education Leaders

The Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives (SFPI) has announced the launch of the second edition of the Shikshagraha Awards, with nominations officially opening today. Instituted to spotlight leadership in education, the Shikshagraha Awards will honour individuals across India who are building an equitable and inclusive education ecosystem, especially for underserved communities.

These prestigious awards are part of the Shikshagraha movement, a nationwide initiative dedicated to improving one million public schools by 2030. Anchored in the belief that leadership lies beyond formal titles, the awards recognise those who tirelessly champion the cause of equitable access to education from within and beyond the classroom.

Last year’s winners embody this spirit. In Tamil Nadu, Xavier Chandra Kumar, a government school headmaster, revitalised a neglected school by introducing counselling, medical camps, and inclusive practices that bridged caste divides. In Bihar, Ranjan Kumar raised school enrolment by 169% through community partnerships and bold learning initiatives. Rajitha N, a supervisor from Karnataka, improved early childhood education across tribal belts, building trust in areas where public systems struggled. And in Bhopal, 17-year-old Muskan Ahirwar earned a special mention for running a public library that now serves 100+ children daily, an initiative she began at the age of nine.

The Shikshagraha Awards are more than recognition; they amplify stories, inspire action, and build a collective movement for education equity. They aim to reflect the diverse leadership driving the education equity movement by encompassing two broad domains:

  • Leaders within the Formal Education System: Educators, school leaders, government officials, or institutional actors working within established structures, such as schools, education departments, or academic support bodies, who are creating systemic change from within.

  • Leaders outside the Formal Education System (Community): Grassroots changemakers, including community organisers, parents, volunteers, or local champions, who are working directly in underserved contexts to expand access, inclusion, and quality in education.

Awardees will receive a financial prize of INR 10 lakh (disbursed over two years), a trophy, a certificate of excellence, and visibility on platforms like InvokED, a global dialogue on education leadership where the awards will be presented on February 6, 2026.

If last year’s nominations were anything to go by, the Shikshagraha Awards are inspirational in more ways than one. They spotlight the quiet courage, relentless commitment, and everyday innovation that fuel our nation’s classrooms. With this second edition, we aim to reach deeper into the corners of India. Our goal is to discover and celebrate those unsung champions who dedicate themselves to education equity, often without recognition. Their stories deserve to be seen, heard, and honoured,” said Mr. SD Shibulal, Co-Founder, The Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiatives (SFPI) and Co-Founder and Former CEO, Infosys.

The nomination process is rigorous, evaluating candidates on continuous improvement, collaboration, innovation, equity-driven actions, and real-world impact. Anyone-students, colleagues, or community members-can nominate a changemaker. Self-nominations are not accepted.

Evaluating nominations for the Shikshagraha Awards is hugely humbling and inspiring. We look for individuals who are not only deeply committed to making education inclusive but are also innovating, collaborating, and improving constantly, even in tough circumstances. It’s not grand gestures, but small, significant steps that create meaningful change. Each story we read reflects ownership and caring on the ground, and teaches us that individuals and communities investing energy and imagination is a key to a better future for children in India,Dr. Subramanian Rangan, Professor of Strategy & Management, INSEAD; Member, Board of Advisors, ShikshaLokam, and Jury Chair, Shikshagraha Awards.

Forms are available in English, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam at shikshagraha.org/awards. Nominations close on August 15, 2025.

About Shikshagraha
Shikshagraha is a people’s movement aiming to improve 1 million public schools in India by 2030, ensuring every child has access to quality education and the opportunity to dream and succeed. The movement brings together diverse stakeholders-government, civil society, markets and media, to collaboratively address the challenges in the public education system through a micro-improvement approach. By working alongside local actors, fostering collective action, and employing data-driven strategies, Shikshagraha aims to create an inclusive learning environment where every student, regardless of background, gender, or abilities, can thrive in the 21st century. Shikshagraha is being co-built by Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiative with Mantra4Change as an anchoring implementation partner.

Mana Dale Wins Accolades at Global Real Estate Brand Awards 2025

Mana Dale by Mana Projects, a premium residential development, has been awarded as the Most Admired Eco Luxury Project at the recently concluded Global Real Estate Brand Awards 2025 (GREBA) that was held in Bengaluru. The Global Real Estate Brand Awards recognise developers worldwide and provide a unique platform for developers to showcase their achievements.

Team Mana receiving the award for Mana Dale

Mana Dale, a flagship project by Mana Projects, is strategically positioned along Sarjapur Road in Kodathi, which serves as a model for sustainable luxury living. Spanning 7 acres, the development has over 70% open area and incorporates over 300 fully mature native trees into its master plan, generating a micro-forest environment within an urban cityscape. The project developed by Mana Projects, known for quality-focused residential projects, Mana Dale combines eco-conscious design, high-end lifestyle amenities, and a strong community-centric approach in one of Bengaluru’s fastest-growing corridors.

The centerpiece of Mana Dales accreditation is its cutting-edge Onsite Aquifer Management System, a first in urban housing projects. The system recharges groundwater directly into the ground, unlike other storage tanks, saving around 50 million litres of water annually. This provides a secure supply of water for future generations, marking a significant success in the backdrop of Bengalurus growing water crisis.

The architectural design of the project is carefully designed for natural daylight and ventilation, following sun and wind directions to reduce artificial energy usage and carbon emissions. Sustainable materials and building processes further emphasize Mana Dales dedication to environmental sustainability without sacrificing high living standards.

Adding to its nature-centric endeavors, Mana Dale provides 110+ nature-inspired amenities and a large 55,000 sq. ft. clubhouse that includes a rooftop pool, spa, gym, squash and badminton courts, amphitheatre, yoga and meditation spaces, children’s play areas, landscaped gardens, therapeutic pods, and more. Every amenity is created to promote wellness and community interaction, which allows residents to easily integrate with nature.

Commenting on the prestigious win, Mr. Kishore Reddy, Chairman & Managing Director, Mana Projects, said, “At Mana Projects, a ‘people-first’ philosophy has always been at the heart of everything we do. Antara Senior Care Improves Access to Transition Care for Recovering Seniors, Introduces Cashless Insurance Cover at its Care Homes

  • Antara introduces third-party administrator (TPA) insurance at its Bengaluru Care Home, followed by phased roll-out at all its facilities in the country, empowering seniors with clinically backed, personalised care solutions after hospitalisation and major health events

  • Antara Care Homes becomes one of the only two senior-care operators in India to offer cashless insurance for transition care

Antara Senior Care, pioneers of integrated senior care in India and part of the $5-billion Max Group, has initiated phased roll-out of cashless insurance coverage for transition care facility across all its Care Homes, starting from its Bengaluru centre in Bannerghatta. With this, Antara Care Homes becomes one of the only two Indian senior-care operators to offer this essential service in the country.

Enabled through a Third-Party Administrator (TPA)-an external agency that manages claims and coordinates between the insurer, care provider, and policyholder-Antara’s initiative improves access to transition care, which focuses on providing structured recovery and rehabilitation support as patients move from a hospital to home. Data shows that timely post-acute care improves outcomes, prevents complications, and significantly reduces caregiver stress.

Mr. Rajit Mehta, MD and CEO, Antara Senior Care, said, “Families are increasingly seeking insurance-backed solutions to assist with transition care for their elders especially after stroke, orthopaedic surgery, organ transplantation, wherein rehabilitation is an important part of recovery and regaining quality of life. TPA facility at Antara Care Homes directly addresses this need. Our goal is clear: to ensure that as India’s insurance landscape evolves, Antara continues to lead with inclusive, clinically robust, and financially accessible senior care models.”

Out-of-pocket expenses still account for almost half of total healthcare spending in India, where senior population has been rising steadily since the turn of the century and is projected to more than double to over 350 million by 2050. Age-related multi-morbidities, frequent hospitalizations, and long-drawn recovery demand a shift in how transition care for seniors is delivered and financed.

Mr. Ishaan Khanna, CEO, Antara Assisted Care Services, said, “Antara’s move to offer TPA insurance at its Care Homes ensures continuity in care when it matters the most, offers relief to caregivers, and restores dignity for patients. Without TPA-backed cashless insurance for transition care, many families are forced to bring patients home prematurely, rely on part-time physiotherapy and informal care, despite being educated by their doctor about the benefits of supervised, structured care immediately after hospitalisation. This can delay recovery, hamper mobility, increase complications, burden of care, and stress, leading to emotional withdrawal.”

We are working closely with TPAs, insurers, and policymakers to broaden the scope of coverage. We are also exploring similar support for our Memory Care facility, Care at Home services and assisted living services,” Ishaan Khanna added.

The process for cashless insurance service (TPA) at Antara Care Homes is designed to be seamless and family friendly. A patient’s shift to Antara Care Homes is supported by the treating doctor’s reference and a discharge summary, clinical assessment by Antara’s medical team, and help with documentation.

After being launched for Antara Care Home in Bengaluru’s Bannerghatta area, the cashless insurance coverage will be rolled out across facilities in Gurugram, Noida, and Chennai. The cashless model will allow eligible insurance policies to cover a wide range of services, such as room charges within policy limits, caregiver fee, nursing care, basic doctor consultations, diagnostics.

The Antara Care Homes ecosystem offers integrated senior care through its specialized transition care, assisted living, and memory care facilities designed with age-friendly infrastructure and geriatric-trained medical staff. Our team caters to the clinical, nutritional, emotional and cognitive needs of seniors in a warm, home-like environment with spaces curated for communal interaction and activities.
